im trying to get help to load it way up in my truck.i got the bike to run better somehow,but its still messed up. i wanted to ride it to you ,but its a long ride on a bike i cant trust and dont want to hurt. ill give you a call as soon as its in the truck.thanks |

pull the front cowl and find out what ecm you have...i am thinking it is a GB231, but you need to know for sure. I have a feeling you loaded the wrong ecm eprom into your ride and THAT is bad voodoo

If you loaded a non GB231 EEPROM, then yes thats why it wont run right. Try loading your stock EEPROM back onto it if you haven't yet. |

I recommend not doing anything to it unless you know WTF your doing.
Scotty is finding me the driver for his cable. I sold all my Buell Tuning stuff a few weeks ago.
I used to tune with a DL cable, they have the home made one.
bring your cable actually and your CD...

ok,dont worry my wife wont let me touch it anymore.i dont know what im doing and did not know how to save the stock programs anyway. do you want me to wait until you have the cable you need or will the one i bought work? |

The one you have is fine. We probably have the same type of cable, I just need the driver which is more than likely on that CD you have.
I never had an issue with my DL cable as the driver was n the cable itself. |

I'll check for maps when I get home, but after a recent PC crash and unloading my Buell last week, I've sorta lost control of all of that crap. But we'll definitely get you back on the road. And if the Fagbolt hasn't told you yet, his payment is Crowne-Royal. |

crown-royal..wish i knew that before i picked up a case of budweiser. i owe ya one anyway. took it for a good ride this morning,it runs great,nice to ride it again,it has more power all around.cant wait to see what its like with a full tune on it.and the suspension adjusted,it feels better in the corners already.im getting to work on it now. thanks for your help,let me know when you need paint work ..that i can do. |

That was a down and dirty, quick bounce set up on your suspenders... they need some more love for sure.
Seriously....
You really need to get that suspension squared away or you are definitely going to get hurt, or hurt someone else the way that thing is lowered. I damn near sh!t myself on that thing....Change that fluid w/ a thicker one too, feels like water in there. set the rear as best ya can.
1.) re-torque that head bearing.
2.) get the air out of the brake lines. that was scary!
3.) not sure I would trust that top triple, it it is only a piece of cast and ya took a bit out of it, but it's your bike.. just watch for cracks and such.
4.) Get it tuned w/ that pipe and she will run like a raped ape. That thing has killer pull up top...
5.) get the throttle cables adjusted right and it will respond better for ya & idle down better.
Magnacore wires W/ NGK iridium plugs are a good set up.
Look HERE for a rough idea how to set the suspenders & rear shock up.
Pirelli tires help alot too...

ok,will do,im changing the top triple and bars back to stock now..as soon as the paint dries,and bleading the brakes.ill be doing the rest but i need to get some riding in. im just glad it runs.thanks again. |

Fans are the same on all XB's.
Ballistic Batteries...... I had a 4 cell w/ the quick disconnect. |

thanks guys.i have the front back up with the stock bars,i found a way to make them look good.i will start looking for a fan before it stops spinning. do i need anything else to hook that battery? i need to do some dirt riding soon,any good places in your area? |
