Wow...I saw the neatest 1999 X1 at Mustang Shelly's on Saturday. It was immaculate, nice yellow with wild blue/green painted graphics on the air boxes and "Got Rice" on the fly screen. Looked like it had NOS as well. Does anyone know who owns this bike? I would really like to meet him/her and ask some questions. I know Shelly's husband runs Hal's Performance Shop, perhaps it is his. I just couldn't find a Buell looking person in the place as it is a Harley hangout. | ||

Bill Just go to the speed shop, you shouldn't have to get past half the description you just gave for someone there to know which bike you're talking about. Hint: not all Buell riders look like Buell riders.  There is a bike up in the rafter/storage area there that I'd like to snag somehow. But trips up in that section of the shop are far and few between and not easily arranged. | ||

Ah, just the opposite of me, I only go into shops like that when I don't have the money to back up the impulsiveness. That way I can never buy anything I want and it takes a second trip at least to actually make a purchase. (Currently up to trip 7 on a long term background project with only a couple of peripheral purchases along the way.) | ||

Ride this Saturday Our "Shake the Rust II" ride is the Saturday April 24th. Time: 10:00a.m. Place: Meet at Hal's Ride leader: Our fearless Treasurer Tom aka Dullorb. Ride route: Tom mentioned something about an urban assault? Don't forget that Hal's is also haveing their Buell Demo Day this Saturday and will be demoing(is that a word) the Buell line up. Whats with the 10am on a saturday? Sleep in a bit & let the sun come out & warm the place up a bit first. Anyone actually planning on riding? Could care less about Buell demo rides, ride 1 & you have ridden em all. | ||
