Vern-first weekend in May. If gas prices keep going up, I may be loading my display in the bed of the truck, not leaving any room for the Buell. If the weather is bad, I'll be trailering my display, so it would be a last minute decision to bring the bike or not. Got my first 50 miles of the year on the 1125R yesterday... the Res Ride is only 71 days away! | ||

You guys are in for a treat with NittanyXT's route that will be added this year! It contains everything from high speed sweepers, to technical corners, to some paved roads that the Uly's just glide over while mixing in some switchbacks. After this part of the Res Ride, we will be trekking back to NittanyXT's house for a Clem's BBQ meal! To help offset the cost of the meal, we will be "passing the hat". Anything collected over the cost of the meal will be donated to a local pet rescue organization. Jon (NittanyXT) will share more details closer to the ride. Don't forget, if you are planning on staying in Altoona the Friday night of the ride, to make your hotel reservations. Most are staying at the http://www.motel6.com There are a lot of hotels in the Altoona area if Motel 6 isn't to your liking. The next closest hotel to Motel 6 is the Hampton Inn, a block or so away. I'm not sure what kind of pull I have, but are there any requests for a particular flavor at Meadows Frozen Custard? The owners go to my church and I MAY be able to get those flavors over the course of the weekend. | ||

Can't say that I've had corn dog flavored ice cream, nor do I think I'd want any either. I was thinking more along the lines of Teaberry, or mint chocolate chip, or chocolate with broken up Reese's peanut butter cups (my favorite!).... | ||

What about the "Denny's" run this year. Usually on dirtbike trips during it, missed last year what about this year? Or does the Res ride include this stop? Prob not two gut busting stops seems a little much/ (Message edited by spdrxb on April 15, 2010) | ||
