yeah that's a nice store, i actually called them and was thinking of getting a DUNLOP Roadsmart http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=& item=TUC_31-0813-1
they seem like solid tires to me!
all i need now is for my buddy to call me back to help me get the tire off the back of my bike.
anything in particular i should know about doing that small operation? it should be pretty straight-forward right?

If you do not have a FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL and PARTS BOOK for your YEAR and MODEL you need to get them ...

You must TORQUE you AXLE NUT to FACTORY TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS or it will cause your wheel bearings to fail because over tightening compresses the soft spacer between the bearings ...

BUELL RIDE AND 'GATHERING'
OK boyz and girlz. We're riding on this coming Saturday April 10! WOOHOO!
So here is the skinny. We'll ride around Lake Murray. Meet at Lowes on US highway #1 in West Columbia. This is just west of Interstate 26 at exit 111-A. Kickstands up at 9:30. (I have tested the route and this start time works to get back in time to eat. Total drive time in the cage was a little over thee hours.) After we finish the ride, all are invited to my backyard deck for some crockpot venison chili and soft drinks. If spirits are in order, BYOB.
So I can prepare correctly, let me know that you will stay and eat. An approximate headcount will be great!

thanks to a lot of help from XBLAW i was able to replace the rear tire today, and mounted a Michelin PilotPower 2CT for a good price!

Hey all, good to see a decent following in the Columbia area. I bought my 09r in November from Chuck, put about 1000 miles on it before coming to Iraq in January. I will be here till the first week in June and will be up for as much riding as possible. Ride safe! Hope to meet some of you guys for some riding when I get back.

Just give out a shout and someone would probably be around to fire up the ole Buell and log some miles around the area. Sweet looking forward to meeting everyone! Been there for 2 years now, and have only seen one other Buell riding around, and it is a guy I know from Shaw AFB he has an 08 12r and an 08 25r. It would be great to ride with a group. I am new to sportbikes, I have a Harley so I am not a maniac still getting used to having power on demand unlike the lead sled.

I need to see if Jason is still out there. He lives in sumter and is stationed at Shaw too. He has an 09cr. His name here is delbuort. Im going to have to send him an email to see what is up. I live in the Lex/West Columbia area. I have seen several bikes traveling Hwy #1 in the past month or so but have not really noticed anyone else new here until this week.

I guess when I get back to civilization I will have to keep my eyes peeled. I bought my Buell in November and I have a Harley. I have a feeling the Harley will be collecting dust and in need of a new battery before the end of this riding season.

Well it's getting closer to the planned ride on Saturday. As of right now there are 8 SC Buell Riders riding and eating chili. If there are any more who want to join us, let me know by Friday afternoon. Otherwise I will plan on preparing lunch for the 8 who said they'll come.
If the weatherperson is right, will need to layer up; for the early ride will be right nippy. Still planning to get the kickstands up at 9:30.
