There are some great roads in that area. On your way there, 176 south/east of Saluda, NC is a great road for a few miles. Near Chimney Rock, highway 9 from Bat Cave up to Black Mountain, NC is a great road. Several good roads near Marion, NC as well.

Sadly, I had to work Saturday and was limited to the 3 or 4 curves I can find in the lowcountry on Sunday. Best curves I can find down here are in a subdivision they started a few years back. Paved all the streets, but never built any houses. That gets boring after about 10 minutes though.

Hey that sounds good David. If the guy from work goes too, then that would be a good scenic calm ride to take because he is not the aggressive rider yet when it comes to handling the turns. Hey if so, then we could just let you lead the way!! That way we would not get lost!!

Just keep an eye out on the site here and you should be able to know when I will ride up that way. I am thinking about the 21st of this month if the weather holds out.

So i finally got around to chopping the tail on my 97 m2. Never thought the turn signals looked right on it so off they went, i think it looks a lot better now. And no, i didnt drill through the ecm haha.

White 1125R is THE color, nearly as ideal as XB12R model in red.

I'd miss having rear turn signals. Like turn signals so much, I frequently leave them blinking after the turn.

Honestly, i have a lot of ideas bouncing around in my head. Charlie can vouch on that.

I would like to do a polished updated swingarm, paint my wheels. Take the gauges apart and make up a custom background on them, probably black with white lettering. Rear sets, and a billet front mount.

The list goes on and on really. Probably next is some red shorty pazzos

Went for a ride up Hwy 178 today. Lots of bikes out, BRRRappppbrapppbrmmmmrmmmrmrmbraaappp... (South Park reference) bikes mostly. I thought there might too many leaves and pine straw out on the roads but it only got "hairy" in a couple of places. Had the road to myself for the most part. Most enjoyable!

OOOOO the weather is looking good so far for Saturday!! I cant wait! I have about a 6.5 hour route set up in mind from Columbia (4hrs of interstate) and about 2.5 hrs of NO SLAB roads!! I feel this may be a long week.

I kinda want to leave from Columbia around 9 AM so as to be back by dark. Hopefully about an hour before dark at the latest.

ANYONE IS WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO GO FOR A RIDE ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21ST FROM 9 AM UNTIL IT IS OVER!!!!!!

The idea that I have in mind is to begin at the I-26 exit 1 Landrum and ride out to lake lure and see if the road on the map that I saw is any good, and then ride 64? around Chimney Rock and toward Hendersonville and then down to Saluda, Tryon, and back to Landrum. Should take 2.5 hrs according to google. I will be heading up I26 so anywhere to meet would be fine depending on what is convenient to you and others. Probably going to meet xbslim around spartanburg since that is his area, but we havent decided exactly yet. I want to leave Cola. by 9am which should take about 1.5 hrs to get to Landrum exit I believe. I will try and get my "route" up this evening or tomorrow morning. If it gets boring at work this evening, then it may give me time to post it up then.

I plan on leaving Columbia around 9am so that would put us at the Landrum exit 1 on I26 at about 11am after we meet up with xbslim a few miles up I26. I think there is a shopping center with a grocery store and Subway that we could meet at on the south side of I26 (if it is still there).

Also when we are riding and someone else sees/knows of somewhere else to make a run to, then that is fine with me cause we are there to ride!!

Hey guys, don't chime in much here. Let me know when your in landrum I might be able to meet up with you guys and at least shoot the S&it if not go for a ride. My house is right off Hwy 9 and I'm only like 20 miles from lake lure.

Word of advice, there can be a bunch of cops around the lake on the weekends so mind your p's and q's
