Bib,

I agree, in this situation the rider makes the bike look hot.

I'm off to Seattle to pick up my 1125R tomorrow morning. Hope I can get some sleep tonight.

Hey,

The dealer opens at 10:00, I'm planning on being there shortly after. Want to get through the purchase process and make sure the current ECM program is loaded. I'll take the bike for short ride before loading her up and heading home.

$6895, are you kidding me?

That's just silly!
$6895 for a NEW 1125R?
Good for you, I'm jealous.

Hey, anyone in the Pacific NW know of best price on a 09 or 10 1125CR?
I have cash.
Called around today and found a couple dealers quoting $6495, one $6995, one $8495.
Anyone know of anything better?
I'm on Whidbey, sold my M2L 3 years ago and miss it. Was thinking of getting an XB12Scg at first.

And $6495 doesn't sound good enough?

Where are you getting that price.

Out East and down south they have been going for cheaper. Check the 1125 Board, but I think mid-6G is going rate out here(and a hell of a deal.)

Eastside has a Black 1125CR with the upright bar kit (900 installed) for 6495.00 about 200 miles.

Hey all,

I'm home with the new mistress safe and sound. Loni tossed a leg over her to check ergos, it seems the new girl is a bit too tall for her, it appears I'll have to ride her hard and break her in properly.

Still can't believe the deal; maybe this is a make good for all the Harley issues I've had in the past.

Boatz,

Latus Buell and H-D in the Portland area has 4 or 5 1125CR's at $6995. Give them a call, ask for Carley, she rides a Buell. Tell her Chris sent Ya.

Chameleon,
I will be there in the morning about 0930.
My deposit is refundable, subject to test ride. I had an M2L, hope the CR isn't too tall as I'm 5'8.
And I'm serious, see pic!

You might have trouble flat-footing it.

Unfortunately, Downtown HD is inept and won't have my bike done until 1pm. They don't even open until 10am.
Their parts desk actually called me earlier and asked if I would be bringing my bike in any time soon to get the dash replaced. I said "Are you f'ing kidding me? It's been in your shop for two days now to have that part replaced along with some other tasks."

I could possibly meet you there on my wife's bike... It's an insanely loud V-Rod.

Give me a call tonight if you want. # is on my website, which is in my profile.

If any of you are on the Pashnit forum www.pashnit.com I'd appreciate your votes for some of my pics for the annual calendar.

http://www.pashnit.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=43

For Summer 2010 thread, pics 24 and 25 are mine. 25 isn't getting many votes but 24 of Maryhill Loops is in the running. My other is Bodi Road. Vote for any three.

For Fall 2010 thread, pics 40 and 41 are mine. Not really in the running it looks like, but support appreciated!

One pic in the Spring 2010 thread is mine, pic 15 FJR River which was taken up at Banks Lake.

You can vote for three in each thread.
Thanks!

Well, thanks to Paul for meeting me on the insanely loud V Rod at Eastside Harley this morning. He's an 1125R owner so knew more than the salesman about the 1125CR.
I followed him on the 1125CR around Lake Sammamish, then a run up 405 and back to EHD.
Man, that VRod moves! And he's right, it is Loud. Way louder than the Buell which seemed like an Aprilia with the Rotax engine.
I bought it.
Didn't pick it up yet, have to do warranty work to it first. Yikes.

Yes I'll be participating in some local rides, now that I have a bike again. When I got to Eastside and put on my gear for the test ride I pulled out a gas receipt from 11/06, been a long time!

Very glad I could help you with returning to Buell ownership.
Any idea when they'll get the turn signal replaced and the other minor issues sorted out?

As I said, do let me know when you're going back to pick it up. I'll meet you there on my 1125R and we'll go ride on some better roads.
I couldn't resist riding around Mercer Island on my way back South. There was quite a bit of debris and leaves, but I still had a lot of fun.

Today started inonocintly enough. Early start at the hospital. 0630. So I'm zoomin' along lookin' for someone to pass when I see this Family Van cutting to the inside on a left on this little 2 lane, then to the outside on a right, and he then gets smoked by this Giant Work Truck, all loaded down with tools and assorted effemera. So a few min's later this same big-ass rig is next to me on my left, and a huge light goes off. No, really, this truck had side lights that he hit me with. My usual response to such intimidating behavement would be to twist the gassomojig, but I was pulled over on this self-same road only friday, so it still had my respect... And then again with the lights from this guy... and then the lights really went on, and it all started to fit...who else could whip his 400ton truck into that corner like that... none other than Bobert the Great on his way in too. What a small, beautiful world...

So I'm thinkin, is that Galen? Huh well, Oh what the hell zoom up next to him and trying not to scare the rider just in case it's not him. It's him!. I hit the side work lights and Behold, he starts waving and seemed to be happy. ( A it was cold.
Hopeyou had a good day Galen.

What dealer(s) or specific technicians is everyone using for Buell service in Puget Sound area? I'm on Whidbey Island.

I'm having to be patient, my new 1125CR is awaiting parts. Hope to bring her home in 7-10 days.

Are there any upcoming rides in fall/winter?

Thanks, BillR

Bill, I just saw your email; I've been busy with homework. I decided that I would answer here for the benefit of all.

Although I lamented the particular miscommunication I experienced with regard to Downtown Harley-Davidson of Renton servicing my Buell, I have had a good experience with them overall. Their main Buell technician, Kevin, was sent by DHD to Buell for 1125R-specific training and seems to be a very good tech. In fact, looking over my records, I have entrusted all of my warranty work to DHD since January 2009 even though I purchased my bike at a different dealership. I think that speaks volumes.

Additionally, Kevin rebuilt my wife's V-Rod motor and transmission due to a manufacturing defect and the bike is running and shifting great (as you witnessed); better than ever in fact.

I have been assured several times that Downtown Harley-Davidson of Renton is committed to the Buell brand. In fact, just earlier this month (a few days prior to HD announcing the closure of Buell) they had the inaugural meeting of a new Buell Owners & Riders Group (BORG) with about 15 Buelligans (as we decided to call ourselves) showing up. I was told just yesterday when visiting the shop that the next meeting is definitely on and is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th. Jeff, one of the staff members behind BORG, said that a ride will be held after the meeting, but that the route is still undefined. He indicated that he would most likely leave the route up to group consensus.

I hope to see many of the Buell enthusiasts from this forum at the November meeting!

As far as your other questions in the email:
Yes, I did the denoid at least 15,000 miles ago. I strongly advise it in order to prevent a dangerous situation while attempting to pass which I encountered 2 or 3 times before decided to denoid and never since. The procedure I performed is probably the easiest which is to simply remove and zip-tie back onto itself the throttle restriction cable coming from the solenoid. I left the wiring harness plugged into the solenoid and only once, shortly after performing the procedure, saw an engine code about it.

I am a bit unclear as to whether there is a newer ECM flash than what I have, but based on how smooth your CR was at low speeds, I am fairly certain that you have the critical fuel map flash applied already. I'm actually not sure the CRs were even affected by that glitch. I'm sure that Eastside HD will check since you asked them to in your email.
