i wouldn't exactly consider that a "classic" car

the WCC group: i say we keep on riding/meeting as long as we are allowed to hang out at IL HD. i know i'll keep going there for all my buell & HD maintenance and parts.

If this recent demise of a passionate company does not point out the "unintended consequences" of poor government policies, that crippled a nation and brought down a great motorcycle company. I too say, Screw It let's ride. No putting our bikes up like preserves to rake in some profit for an "aire loom" but use them as Erik designed them to be used. If the Chinese were not going to lend me the $ I should but a bike on each credit card and say up yours to all the nay sayers.

Nice Keith.

And in that spirit- Marc H., his friend English, Dana and I have organized a ride for this Sunday the 18th. We will meet in Chanahon about 8:30a and ride west for a dough nut and coffee.
I-55 and IL Rte. 6 plan on about 2.5 hours.
We will discuss the recent events of this past week.

See you at I-55 and IL Rt 6 at 8:30am Sun folks for our memorial ride.

I stopped by Conrad's HD/Buell today and they sold 3 Buells today. There are three 1125Rs left discounted to $6200 each, an 1125CR @ 6200, an XB12XT @ 9200, a Firebolt and a Lighting also at about $6000.

What a travesty to see Buell going away! I an not happy with HD.

I'm not going to make the ride tomorrow morning. I am a wussy girl. It is only going to be 36 at 8 AM and that is just too cold for me. I will probably just go for a ride around here in the afternoon when it is warmer. I would love to see you guys. Have fun

It was a little chilly first thing in the morning (29 deg). But it did warm up and turned into a nice day. The ride to and from Starved Rock was fun. I learned some new roads to the rock. I hope everybody made it home OK.

I felt better about the Buell thing after the ride.

I did get to ride both Saturday and Sunday to my last instructor courses for the season. I was out there in spirit and the next ride to the Rock count me in! With prices that low, I may just load up a credit card after all. Let my kids pay off the national debt and trade deficet. : )

Keith, Kurtis and I did get out for a brief local ride yesterday. It was definitely nice, with lot's of other bikes out there.

Tim.....you dog. Congratulations on the new bike. I agree the 1125 is nice machine. Enjoy!

On a different note.....did John every return from Burning Man, or is he still missing in action???????

Buellers,

Tomorrow night (Oct 28) is the last Wednesday Night Ride for the season at IL HD. Let's show our respect for the support IL HD/Buell has given us over the years by joining them in the season finale! It would be great to have as many Buells joining them as possible.

The weather should be good enough for Bad Weather Bikers. The rain will end in the morning so the weather will be perfect for a Fall spin. Note the time change for the ride. We leave at 7 tomorrow.

Nice night for a ride on the Wed night IL HD event. About 50 bikes with three Buells along for the ride. A newer owner Steve with his partner Ashley participated and expressed interest in attending the club meeting next Thursday.

I might be interested in a ride Sunday morning into early afternoon. I was actually thinking about riding out to Starved Rock along my backroad route (at times twisty) before all the leaves are gone. Let me know if you are interested.
