Found out today - Riverfront Harley- Davidson is closing possibly in Dec. All the staff will go to Topeka Harley. Huge sale going on in Nov to get rid of clothing items and stuff..Not sure how true this is.. I will find out Tuesday for sure when i get a new back tire put on. | ||

Well guys...this is crazy news. I have had a great time getting to know you all over the years and riding together. Buell Motorcycles is how I got to know you. Awesome memories. I really hope a good investor buys Buell and lets him really do everything he wants. This could be a new beginning. In the mean time, I fully intend to keep my 1125R. It has been an incredibly fun sportbike. Yeah, I added a Supermoto to the garage, but I'll still ride my Buell. (I am supposed to meet Danny Eslick this weekend and get him to sign my bike...right next to Erik's signature).  | ||

I took the buell out and flogged the hell out of it. If I can find a 06/07 XB12 Lightning next summer then I will be complete from a buell perspective. Lets hope Erik gets the chance to do something cool going forward.. Drake: Why the KTM over the Aprilia? Did you get a killer deal on it? I have been thinking about picking one up but kinda nervous about it. | ||

Cafe, I had my eye on the KTM 690 for awhile now. I found a great deal on a low mileage used one. Plus, the KTM's are more reliable and maintenance free compared to the 450 and 550 V-twin Aprilia Supermotos. Lots of those have grenaded including several from people I know... | ||

anyone know of any good buell deals in the area? I don't want a lobster claw buell, but I wouldn't mind having another lightning (preferably a 09 or 2010, for the all black look). I called gails, and they didn't act to interested in selling the air cooled bikes. Sounds like they want the 1125's gone. the lady I spoke with said 4,000 off the top... before negotiations. So, if you are looking for an 1125, have at it boys. | ||

1125 is sure tempting, but I wonder if parts will be available in a few years. What else uses this drivetrain? I suspect the air-cooled bikes will have parts to last a few lifetimes and then some. | ||

+1 Lee. Don't suppose they made too many parts yet for the 1125 like they have for the xb's. That is a tempting deal. Bet you could even talk them down over the winter too. Hmmm. | ||

I talked to Riverfront and they are selling them CHEAP believe the quote was "deal of a lifetime" when I asked about the prices. A tuber or chopped 1125 Hmmmmm?? LOL The S1 is still for sale too if anyone wants it. I am not trying to hard to sell it now but I told the wife I would "try" | ||

any of you thinking to buy a 1125, let me know. they might make us a better deal if there are two of us. also, my dad is debating his thoughts on getting one (thus, 3 of us). i am 90% sure i know what i am going to do... tomorrow the decision shall be made. | ||

Riverfront Harley in Lawrence is really chopping the prices down on all buells.. Trying to get every thing sold off before they close doors on DEC 30th.. What doesnt sell gets moved to Topeka after that.. Id go talk to Elliott Funk in sales tell him B.J. sent you in.. they might have the best deals going on now since they are closing down as well as the no more Buell thing... | ||
