Friday looks like good weather, at least up here with a predicted high of 50.

Should we organize a ride?

Dennis, pics of the damage?

So far the w/e looks nice.
I'd be up for a ride.
No pics that show anything other than a bent guard.Dave and I were hard pressed to find any damage even in the next mornings light.

I think a new battery fixed my charging problem, so I'm interested in getting together this weekend.

How bout sat. Anyone have conflicts? Is sun better? post up.
We could meet up at pt douglas park across the river from prescott and run the route dave and I took coming back from buell.
Plenty of twisties and little to no traffic or leo's.
Basically wi 35 to alma then backroads thru arcadia, mindoro and up and over wildcat mtn, then head west to la cross for lunch.Head back north via 61.
Just my 2 cents. Thoughts?

Looks like a small contingent is heading from Maple Grove down to Lacross for lunch.
We're going to leave the cigar shop in MG about 10:00.

I didn't think I was going to be able to make it, the S2 wasn't running right... however last evening I found the problem.
The vaccuum hose for the VOES switch had come of the carb. Boy does that make your bike run like crap!

All better now!

Dave,
We never made it that far..
We stopped for lunch in Prescot. The other riders couldn't get their act together and get moving.... we didn't get on the road until 11:00!
It was an interesting ride.. My son and I were on our S2's, There was one other S2 ridden by a friend (Force pipe, VERY loud..). The other 4 were harley types. If you have seen the latest South Park episode you can get a general idea of the the "tone" of the day.
When we were at stop lights, all I could thing was "My gawd, I'm in the middle of a herd of "Fags". Seriously, it was that bad. Braappbrapbrapbrapburblebrap!
It was embarassing...
My S2 isn't exactly quiet but you couldn't even hear it unless you stood next to it!

Interesting day.

BTW, the Cajun chicken sammich at Muddy Waters comes highly recommended.

It was a great weekend for riding.

Brad -

Funny thing is that I think you guys ran by my shop on Valley Creek on the way out of town. I was in the driveway talking to my neighbor about her new puppy when she had to stop talking because of all the noise from the group accelerating by. She looked back at me with this semi-disgusted look, and I just blurted out to her, “there is a group of little wenises”. She burst out laughing and I said, “Speaking of little wenises, I should go for a ride and avoid some”.

Some of those group rides can be such a Gong Show. They remind me of taking the kids on a road trip; you pull over for gas and tell them to go to the bathroom while we are stopped, and they say they do not have to go. Then soon as you get your stride on the road, they say “I have to go to the bathroom”.

I avoid group rides (more than three bikes) at all costs, especially when they start to form around you when you didn’t start out with one.

Left at noon, stopped at Muddy Waters, ran to Nelson and back home by 3:30. Very little traffic, perfect little late fall “fix”. Can’t pull that off with the parade group.

Rickie,
Not sure if it was our herd of "fags" or not, we left Prescott about 1:15 or so. We headed back across the bridge to MN from Prescott.

It was embarassing...

On top of it all, while parking our bikes and while getting ready to leave again I saw some truly scary riders. One gal on a hog could barely hold it up! She was so unsure about clutch operation that she tippy toed her bike about 40 feet into a parking spot. Crooked when she was done. Her and the Mr headed into the bar.... yikes!

I meant that I think I saw you guys when you were leaving Maplewood/Woodbury around 11:00 on Valley Creek Rd.
