Oh yea, the tail light was about to fall off on my m2, the epoxy failed on one side. I think im just going to have to get used to the bike trying to spit parts off haha.

I do have a new skinny tail that looks better coming for it now. Ill try and get my pics uploaded soon

sorry i missed the ride. sounds great. i will love to go next time. the army had me occupied sunday. if we do it again i will need some guidance to that area. i live on the north east side of columbia. i know where I20 and I26 meet heading toward spartenburg. and the mall on harbison.

Hey Demarsico, that bites about the army needing you sunday. The location was just a bit further down I-20 from the I-26 and I20 junction. Actually exit 58 on I-20. Maybe in about 3 weeks for me. I'm going to alabama the weekend of the 17th, but dont let that stop anyone from having a good time!

im thinking im going to do a vrod headlight this winter with some custom cover for a veypor vr2. Maybe some superbike bend bars. Not sure if i want to do anything with the tail or not.

Sato rearsets are a must at this point, unless i can figure out to make the banke plates work, i was dragging pegs and boots like crazy last weekend.

New tail should be on its way tomorrow. Looks lots better than my rattle canned peice of crap.

After the rearsets i think it will be time to save to do the engine. Im leaning towards an 88" engine.

Anybody else around Charleston notice that Lowcountry has several Buell billboards up around Charleston? They show two 1125R's heeled over in a turn, apparently on a track, and say something to the effect of "come by and test ride a Buell and get a few gift". IIRC I've seen at least 3 of them, but I can't remember exactly where. It's good to see them making some kind of effort to sell Buells. I'll snap a photo if I can remember next time I see one.

Oh yea, I saw a black Uly on Sullivan's Island on Sunday (I was in a car at the time). That's the first Buell sighting I've had in a while.

One day I was looking around on the 1125 board and noticed one of the guys on there was from charlestown that did have an 1125R, but he does not seem to talk any on this area of badweb. I dont remember who it was though. Maybe he saw the billboard and bought himself one.

In case some of you don't check the rest of the board, Harley Davidson announced this morning that they are discontinuing Buell as part of a "new business strategy". There's a video of Erik at www.buell.com relaying the news. He looks pretty broken up about it.

I'm REALLY hoping Erik can find investors to take this company out on its own. Good riddance to HD.

That sucks but maybe a blessing in the long run. I hope and pray he can get the backing elsewhere. Hope HD will release their "stuff" that was shared with Buell so it can roll forward.
Parts availability may become an issue even though they say they will continue to provide same. Saying and doing is sometimes two COMPLETELY different things!! Maybe the race results Buell has enjoyed recently will help with new investors.

Yeah it just PISSES me off. I really hope it is a blessing for Erik Buell and hopefully he will get a new way to run with producing bikes. I love his stuff. MV Agusta is going to do a lot better with $16K bikes to sell. I hope HD gets what they want. I know I dont want any of that cruiser crap, not yet anyway.

OH YEAH, Jomama, GO WAKE!!!!!! Aren't yall about to be looking for a new coach soon? Yall already got 3 losses this year. AND Dabo better quit using Tommy's play book cause that crap is what got him canned last year.

I am sadden that the move to cease production of the finest "American made motorcycles".
My heart goes out to Erik Buell and the employees of the company and I have high hopes that an investor would come along and pick up what HD dropped.
I felt down and out all day yesterday after receiving emails from this form of the latest grim news of Buell's impending demise.

Has anyone been to Thundertower or Lowcountry since the announcement? People are buying 1125R's and CR's at unbelievable discounts elsewhere. I think I'll have to check out Lowcountry tomorrow.

Just checked the website, $4995 for a new 2008 1125R, $6495 for a new 2009 1125R, $5995 for new 2009 1125CR's. Decent prices on several XB's too. Wow.
