Wow rear wheel bearing? Ccryder (Neil s.) on the '25 board had the red one on the rear drive side fail OUCH!

I have an idea on how we might help protect the bearings' seals, more later

BTW "You are not here" happened 3x on the way back from Nashville I made it to my friends house VIA BRP BLOWING ROCK / BOONE
He lives near Lexington on Highrock lake.

Kristi Trying to get an early chair in Dialysis saturday so we can get outta here early that afternoon. Do you all have Monday off as well? Either way we will probably stay till that morning if it is ok???

U4 - We are both off on Monday. You are both welcome to come and stay as long as you want to. We do have a dialysis center just 20 min from here if we need it!

Dude, don't throw away the rear axle on that Explorer.
It is a much sought after upgrade by Jeep owners. I have a rear axle from a 1999 Explorer on my 1993 Wrangler.
And that Cherokee could have been a candidate for a 6.5" lift kit to make a sweet off road Jeep.

We're going to do a day trip, like leave here early tomorrow morning and get back tomorrow night. Heather's got to work Friday morning at 10 and we're dog sitting... hope things are a little calmer and settled next summer.

I've had some really nice night rides this Summer. The last few nights, the moon and sky has been spectacular. I have to make myself look at the road instead of gazing at the sky.

I should be at CMP Saturday shaking down the race beast. Can't wait!

Not me. It is good to know I'm not the old red Ss in the G'boro area. I'm not sure I know where Spring Garden St. is.

I do hope to get out for a fun ride this weekend. Have the "utility" ride out to Wilson on Saturday. That lovely 280 mile highway round trip. Could be a long day if I stay for the black belt initiation. I'll pm my cell if it looks like I might be able to get out for fun.

Had a nice uneventful ride out to Wilson and back yesterday. Uneventful is good when it is highway riding.
Have to update my top speed though.
Did a quick wrist twist to move away from a small crowd. Didn't take long to get from 80 to a buck. It did not feel like I thought it would.
When I got back to Greensboro, and finally had to stop for a light, I heard the fan going. First time I have actually heard it running while riding. Previously I had only heard it turn on when I turn off the engine.
After this ride, I am really considering getting that under seat heat shield from Spec Ops.
I started humming "chestnuts roasting...."

Took the time yesterday to ride NC209 from Waynesville to Hot Springs. Just what I needed to get out of the mental funk I have been in for the last few days. What a great ride! Or cruise, as I did it, LOL. And saw 2 Suzuki RG500 4cyl 2-strokes in pristine condition, w/a group from JJP Racing. Good folks, and a nice day.

AK, I hear ya on that. I told my wife that I enjoy the ride out to Wilson because it is "decompression" time. No radio, no music. Just the road noise and what ever thought buzz through my dense skull.
With any luck I'll get a fun twisted ride in this weekend. Something a little more leisurely than 66.

Shakedown of the beast was successful... and fun. Yes, it's a beast.

Next is VIR ... if it is dry. That stuff they sprayed on the track that made it so much faster dry has apparently made it into a real bear when wet.

Fish thank you.

I am looking forward to getting down there and meeting all of you. I have met Carlos, Kristi, Smilee, Brankin and a few others. The wife and I are looking forward to getting out and doing some riding down there with everyone.

Kristi, my wife Becky is excited that you are starting to ride, she was tired of being the only girl riding with us up here.

When we get down and settled in I plan on having a cookout and hopefully you all can come.
