Ok Jeff..you got me stumped...how did you hear about it since Eric and Scotty didn't post up on it?

That is my first question.

Now for the story (condensed...I'll add lies bravado, hand jestures and cursing when I tell the story in person):

I was leaving the local Stop & Shop yesterday and an old lady cut across the lot...just had too many important things to do on a tight schedule to drive ALL THE F'ING WAY TO THE END OF THE ISLE...and then decided to cut me off...

I managed to stop before running into the side of the car but in the process...grabbed just enough front brake to do a stopy...spin around and have the bike land on top of my leg.

I'm bruised, swollen and have some bleeding on both legs (lower) and a twisted back and sore neck.

Never hit my head...helmet doesn't have a scratch on it, had my jacket on so the armour absorbed a good deal of the ground hit...but the 400lb bike landing square on top of my calf...well that didn't feel to good.

The lady driving had to be told to stop by somebody else in the parking lot...didn't even know what she had done.

Thanks to Eric and Scotty for dropping what they were doing and collecting my bike while I was taking an ambulance ride to the hospital. I called them from the back of the ambulance.

Thanks again guys.

My 2nd question is why do old drivers suck so bad?

I thought experience counted for something possitive...but it doesn't seem to be working out that way lately in this state...

it's a proven fact that elderly drivers are just as if not more of a danger behind the wheels as teen drivers....crazy old blue-hairs!

Also glad you are ok. Old drivers do have issues when behind the wheel.I'd say they need a driving test every year to keep their ticket.

Holy crap JP! Glad to hear your ok, well sort of. At least you have no serious injuries and will hopefully be able to heal up before the season is over.

I agree with everyone else. Once people hit the age of 65 they should have to go for a driving test every year. Once they can't pass the test then they should be give a damn bus pass!

Eric and I went out riding last night till about 12:00am, then we stopped at the titty bar for a beer and he told me the whole story. Glad you are okay for the most part. Could have been a lot worse. Do take advantage of this opportunity to make the right decisions with your bike upgrade and dont let the crazy driver off too easy.

I don't think the bike is in bad enough shape for the NEBO upgrade program...but Scotty and Eric have already volunteered to help it on it's way...as long as Eric gets my engine that is...

So...for those of you that have NEVER been in an accident...and those of you that haven't been in one for a long time...

Day two SUCKS big azz smelly motha f'n sweaty dirty donkey balls...

You feel ok at the hospital...they tell you it's ok to go home...two hours after you get home the adrenaline starts to wear off and things get stiff...(go ahead and insert own crude jokes here)...

But day two...yeah...accidents hurt!
