So, I know this was a big deal when Duc was promoting it. Is any one still considering making the ride out to VIR to watch the race?

Tickets in advance are $50 for one day or $65 for all three days. And for an extra $10 you can get to be in the parade lap. (not exactly sure how that works, but sounds worth it)

It's the weekend of August 14th, 15th and 16th. Just over a month away. Any takers?

Ok.... It's official. Cycle gear has 3 day passes on sell for $65 (so I've been told) or you can get them directly from the website link above.

I think anyone riding will need to be available to leave Saturday morning. (Early) It's about 4 hours and a little less then 200 miles away. (4 hours? what, are we driving?)

Good luck getting a room at this late a date, I'm planning on pitchin a tent. (oh yeah, that means ya gotta pay a little extra to camp at the track)

So what's up folks? who wants to roll?

I have this weekend free. If there is room for one more I'd be into it. I only have a solo tent though, sorry. I can probably get a bigger one that sleeps 4 from my roommate. Riding the blast is probably out unless I get a lot of practice between now and then, so I'm up for carpooling if anyone drives. Happy to pitch in gas money. Let me know and I'll make sure I get the days off from work and get my tickets.

Mel, we'll see how much opportunity I get to ride between now and then, if I can get comfortable enough I'll ride the blast. I've got next weekend off from work and kid free so I plan to ride a lot. Is there anywhere on this side of the water I can get a ticket from? Otherwise I guess I'll make a trip down there. I've got a couple extra sleeping bags if anyone needs one. I don't use sleeping pads/air mattresses so I don't have any of those to loan out sorry.

I figure if I crash and break something, the name will have double meaning =p
