As most of you know i work for arrowhead harley davidson/buell over in peoria, what you dont know is that we have a new general manager. After several meetings discussing the complaints of local buell riders as for as dealership support goes we have decided that its time for change. We would like to be THE local buell dealer for the area for sales, service and parts/motorclothes. We at the store would like everybodies input into what they would like the dealer to be and what they expect from their local store. We are considering a meet and greet/q&a meeting, what does everyone think? We would like to structure our services to meet the desires of our local riders but we need your input. This will be a slow process at first but the more input the better to speed things along. And in case you dont know our store hosts a free pancake breakfast the last saturday of every month for our harley owners but it is not limited to them, everyone is welcome.-andrew AHD service 623-247-5542

I would suggest trying to get some sportbike riders involved also. Despite what many think, there is an interest in Buell in the typical sportbike crowd. Try getting the word out on some of the local meetup.com groups like DAM bikers and MSRP (moto sport riders phoenix). A meetup for coffee and donuts at the dealership for test rides on a Saturday morning might draw some interest. Good luck!

I'd be down for a meet and greet, ya'll are the closest dealer to me. And it would be very convenient to have awesome service there.

I think focusing on the customer experience, not only before the sale but in the service dept as well would be a good start. I know my experiences of buying the bike and working with the service dept at another dealership have been vastly different.

For example I recently had to take my bike back in for an oil leak that they failed to fix 2 weeks prior. I expected some empathy and an apology for them not having fixed the problem the 1st time....but got neither. Now I have to wait a week for the parts to come in, which leads me to my next suggestion.

Stock some of the commonly replaced parts. I have dropped my bike twice and both times they did not have levers, pedals or pegs in stock. I would also like to be able to look at some of the optional parts like the select or streetfighter seats in person. I am not comfortable spending $145 on a seat that I am not sure I will like.

I would be willing to travel farther if I knew I would be treated as a valued customer.

Wish Tucson HD/Buell could do something like this. They rarely get my business and will never work on my bike.

When I was having trouble with my wifes blast Andrew got it in the morning and out that afternoon. Prior to that I called and asked how long bikes are typically in for service and someone else told me three days. I was surprised and pleased.

I know it sounds kinda gay, but I would like to see a little Buell merch on the walls. Hats, shirts, patchs, decals, if you go to Chandler they have whole wall. Not that I do business there, I think Arrowhead's service department is topnotch. You guys even have my bike right now, which I should be coming in to pick up as soon as I have a free minute.

ok so here's the plan, on july 30th our store is having a customer appreciation night for new bike owners. we cater food and have a tour/q&a session with all the dept managers. after talking with the general manager we have decided that would be a great night to have our buell meeting, after talking with the new owners we will have a meeting that will include all dept managers, the general manager and myself. that date was also picked because it comes right after the dealer show and all the new model info will be available. i will need an rsvp from anyone who wishes to come so we can plan accordingly. just put up a post and please include your name and what you ride. please help to spread the word because the more interest there is the easier it will be to make improvements.the new owner night starts at approx 6:30, so if you would like to show up about that time thats great, we should be onto the buell meeting about 7pm-andrew

I agree as for merch. point.. The only Buell stuff I found was on the clearance rack. I just haven't gotten around to going to chandler to go buy a hat or another shirt. I'd rather go on-line or buy from the shop I go to.... Now if I can only find a spare 9K for that 08' 1125R that's there...

Have any of you had your check engine light come on while riding out here in the summer? Mine has twice, and twice when I turned the bike off and let it cool down it didn't come back on while riding home. ECMspy shows no fault codes. Any ideas?

well i blew the head gaskets on my bike finally, i guess i had a good run on the motor having made it a full season without any problems. got some new gaskets coming from revolution, should be here in a couple days. also pulling the plastics for a repaint, the painter is already redoing the track bodywork but he's going to redo my street set so the bike doesnt look like a driveway repaint.

I suppose I should bring it in to get it dynoed to make sure I'm not destroying my motor.

the oil light or the engine light? If it is sending a code, it should be stored. Have it hooked up and scanned

The yellow engine light is coming on. Rode it tonight, didn't smash on it too hard, no light tonight. I hooked up to ECMspy and it shows no fault codes. I'm running a stock ECM with an Xopti map, tuning it with ECMspy(not really "tuning" it just loading the new EEPROM with it). AFV is at 95.9 and has been since the tune. I'm hoping it's just getting too hot since I can't hear my fan over all the noise. I have a D&D Pipe with a K&N air filter. Thanks for all the replies too! I really appreciate the help! I'm taking her to Britain in January so I gotta iron out all the kinks here, preferably. Since she'll be my only transportation while I'm there for a bit.
