Sam,the Pontiac Fiero has only 2 seats>>>>>>>>>DUHHH The Fiero wont be making the trip due to Pitt Bull stands being brought back. The rides will either be a 1995 Plymouth ACCLAIM,or a Geo STORM,or possibly a Grand cherokee Jeep.

Just thought I'd give everyone an early heads up. On Sept 18th 2004, Bubba Blackwell, the Buell American Daredevil, will be performing in Waterloo Iowa at the National Cattle Congress fairgrounds!

Bubba Blackwell is not all that entertaining, at least that was my opinion of his show when he was in KC, I would not go out of my way and deffinitly not pay for it. It is more fun to ride than watch him.

P.S. Can anyone tell me if track days Require leather pants?? I know the pants have to zip to the jacket if its not a full suit. (And I thought I heard the zipper had to be a certain length correct?) But I am wondering if any of the new synthetic type pants are acceptable for track days?? I can only afford to grab one pair of riding pants and I need something I can get the most use out of. Leather riding pants in august is just not sounding very usable..? I don't even know if I will be able to afford track days when they come up but it would be nice to have the gear needed if I can while I am able to buy. I also need to be able to use them as much as possible during riding season on the street. Even though I "should" wear the leather pants for protection even in the summer. The real world says I am simply not going too. I am thinking synthetic might get more use atleast up until those couple of unbearable heat weeks. So I am trying to find dual purpose.. Thanks in advance!
(hooray I am finally gonna get the right gear guys!! : ))

While some track days accept cordura, do yourself a favor and get leather(just my opinion).

I have complete race suits for as low as 499.00 in stock. Not that high of a price to pay to save your skin.

Soooo, S2scott, I shouldn't put you down for coming up to see Bubba perform?

Chili cookoff update!
I'm not going to be here! My wife just scored a 3 day weekend and we are going somewhere else for a couple days. I really don't want to miss you guys but what can I say? It will be the last chance we get to go before summer(all hell breaks loose) for me. My schedule is full until August.
So, I will miss you guys but will see you all the end of April at BattleTrax!
Have fun, don't eat too much chili!

Ride to the edge!

Dave

I did not put anyone down for going to see Bubba, I said his show was not all that great, I was a little bored at his show. I have seen really great motorcycle stunt shows and Bubbas is not one of them. He may be a great guy but his show is kind of boring he wants you to cheer a bunch to get him to do a stunt the way it should be done. If he would put some excitement into the show he would not have to entice people to cheer for him, they would do it automatically. There would be plenty of cheers and ooohs and ahhhs if he would just jump on the bike and get with the program. Dave if you know Bubba you can share this with him, I like the guy just think his show is dullll.

S2scott,
I have never seen his show so I have no idea how good it is, or isn't. I wish I could do some of the stunts these guys can do!

I also hire "Crazy" Dan Jackson and KC's Most Wanted stunt riders for our BattleTrax events.
Have you seen them? They came up 3 times last year and did a pretty good job for us, good enough for me to hire them again for this year.
Come up on the 24th-25th of April for our Buell Bash/BattleTrax weekend with the rest of the mob!

Ride to the edge!

Joe,
I did the same thing you did....I stopped at the roulette table on the way out, and I took your advice not to bet on RED..... So I put a $100 on BLACK and while I was explaining my stupidity to the future missus, she decides to put $10 on RED. you can guess who won.

Paul,
re: gas masks....So you understood the Enola Gay reference....good!

Tripper,
you got plans on Sat.?

Dave,
If you're not going to be there, who's guarding your bike?
