Left for DAYTONA at 4AM Friday 6th March ... Got off I-4 at ex 114 because of big accident(both sides blocked) just east of ex 118 which JL and the boys were having everyone get off ... Got to drive the back roads to get to US 92 ... When "i" got to the west bound US 92 exit to I-4, JL and the boys had it blocked off ... Parked my Ranger in the BEST BUY parking lot and unloaded the BUELL ... Parked in the Church parking lot close to the Ocean Center and walked to the Hilton on the Beach ... Did the AMA's Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum's Friendraising Breakfast with keynote speakers, Jay Springsteen and Scott Parker, and intervirew'ed by Bill Werner their race tune'r ... Went because of the keynote speakers ... Then across the street to the Ocean Center to pick up my HOG DAYTONA PIN and look at the HARLEY-DAVIDSON Displays ... The "SHOCKER" was there was only one BUELL on display and it was a "BLAST" !!! Enough "BUELLschitte" and out the door "i" went ... Did the MAIN STREET Ride and back to the BEST BUY parking lot ... On the way "i" saw David and Nicole riding their "SCOOTERS" !!! Back in the BEST BUY parking lot by 12N and left at 12:15 PM going to the BUELL Demo tent ... Only thing there was demo rides ... When back to the BEST BUY parking lot to load up and go to the house ... Ran into Gary(98S3T) from Lake City, South Carolina who was also getting ready to go back home ... We "BUELLschitte'd" for an hour or so and towards home we both went ... Just east of ex 98 east bound, JL and the boys had a "BIG SPEED TRAP SET UP" !!! Took 2 hrs. and 20 minutes to get to DAYTONA early in the AM and 3 hrs. and 30 Minutes to get back ... "YES", "i" taped the 200 MILER and going to watch it when step away from the "COMPUTER" 73sBCU'll (Message edited by buellistic on March 07, 2009) | ||

Rode the new XR 1200 R the bike was much better than I expected. I wanted to ride the CR but the line was two long for that bike. I rode a fierbolt and a lightning. I had an XB Lightning. I sold it to get an S3. Well mabe I will get to ride one in October. Riding the XR was worth the trip. | ||

Tampa/Lakeland Buellers- If I'm not working this weekend, I may ride down for the monthly ride. Looks like you have found some elusive twisties in your area! I'll confirm with LaFayette (who, BTW does a good job keeping the rides happening and keeping the group up to date on the Buell goings on!) Meanwhile, here's the link for Leesburg's festival in late April. It's always a good time at the bikefest and we hope to see a bunch of Buellers out and about! I know what you mean, Mike. I haven't even been for a ride with the wife since her Uly has been in the shop since March 7th! It was running erratically and they finally traced it to a problem with the wiring harness, they installed a new main wiring harness, reset all the faults and it is back from the dead! Fortunately it is still under warranty. So we should both be there Sunday! | ||

Stole that from somebody else...too good not to share. | ||

Here's the shots from Sunday. Might push up a video, but they look a little sad. Not too action'y. If you didn't make it in this run, the picture looked like crap. Sometimes it doesn't work holding a credit card sized camera going down the road at 60 mph! See y'all next time. p.s. If you don't like my crayon drawings I did on the side of the road of you, tough. It's also difficult to doodle while riding at 60mph!! I kept dropping my azure blue crayon. Mike Nice sunrise for a great day.  Who's this guy?
