I am excited to do the track days. I'm planning on March 23 and April 27th as of now with more to come...
Can someone give me an idea of how it works logistically? Do I ride my bike there, or rent a trailer? Is PBR going to go as a group and set up a tent or something?
WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY OF RIDING! It's a good rule to use the "facilities" before you go out. I scared myself in the first session. I calmed down after that. Got some helpful advice from the instructors. Great program, can't wait to ride the next event. Hope to more Buells on track.
I had a great time today. Fantastic instruction, I really feel like I learned a lot and also realize I have A LOT more to learn. The bike ran well, it was definitely not the rate limiting factor.
I will ask to use truck & trailer for next event. I'll volunteer time & assistance to all Buell riders. Track days prove how much fun we can have without a lot of expense. I was thinking that someone buys a Buell, we could set them up for a track day. PSSR will sell us a package that can be split with the group. So a guy could ride once at a better price instead of buying 3 or more days. So lets get on it!
Dave, the trailer would be great. If possible, I'd like to throw 2 gas jugs and small amount of trackday support gear in the rig for use at PIR. I'll be riding up as in the past.
Remember Nathan from the last Doc wong class. He was the tall guy who just bought a white Ducati 1100 cc Monster and only had a couple of weeks of riding under his belt.
He now has two months and 1400 miles under his belt and had himself videoed at the last track day.
He did a really good job, actually touched a knee down by the end of the day. Only thing I see wrong with his form is the bike he is riding isn't a Buell.
He had an oil leak, which cut his day a bit short I think. I wonder if he got it taken care of?
