Hi All I am organising a Buell owners ride day for Sunday 7th June - Queens Birthday long week . All bikes will be welcome. Make the effort if you are from Northern Queensland to come up to Cairns and you will be rewarded with a day of superb roads Ride departs the Mountain View Hotel on the bottom of the Gillies at 9.00am Bring a full tank of fuel Route as planned: - Gillies then stop at Lake Eacham R/house for a coffee - Eacham through Malanda and down the Palmerston to Crawfords look out - Back up the Palmerston, turn off at Milla Milla, through to Ravenshoe for another coffee in the café - Back past Windy Hill, through to Herberton, Marks lane to Yungaburra and down the Gillies again to finish at the Mount View. Total length maybe 250km For those who have not ridden in and around Cairns, this route will take in only a sample of the excellent riding roads up here including the legendary Gillies Hwy. 220 corners in 20 km!! AND its all just been relaid in fantatastic smooth ashalt. PM if you want more details. Feel free to post up on other forums |
