Chris, It's not an all guy thing. My wife, Terri is going to be riding her Blast.

Hey Crusty, I did forget she was going, maybe I can reconsider, will depend on whether or not I can get that kind of vacation time at the beginning of the month !!

Wonder if we could talk Bomber and his wife into coming, the three of us (Brooke, Terri and me) it would be a hoot !!

Why has this become a Cluster Fuck?

It's really not, seems to me spidey is just grouchy, probably needs a Hooter's fix !! LOL

CF? It's not a CF. If I can go I will be there by August 1st for the regatta, if I can't, you'll have to try to have fun without me. How is that a CF.

CJ - Every day that passes Donut wants to go more and more. If Light Red goes that would be two people who weren't men on the trip!

Roger,
I'm game for whatever you guys want to do. I can camp (I'm going camping tonight by the way. 12" of snow this week & a full moon - priceless).
If you need to make reservations go ahead, I'll share. Check on cancellation schedule & stuff if you have to put it on your card. I'll give mine if needed.
I was going to ask about reserving a ride on the ferry too. That would be a bite to get there and find out that we couldn't get on for a couple of days. Did you say the fery cost was $155 each way? Wow, I guess I'm glad I'm a landlubber.

CJ - You never told us if you can burp and fart like Spidey - hehehehehe

I have been contacted about the ferry and the rates are as follows:

The cheapest is the Port-Aux-Basques Run to North Sydney, its also the quickest being only about 6hrs. I just looked it up on the website www.marineatlantic.ca and that run costs $65.75 for one way and thats Canadian Funds. The Argentia to North Sydney run lasts about 14hrs (I did that one back in September when I drove the convertible back from Ontario) and costs $154.00 for the one way cost. Don't forget that that is in Canadian Funds which is about 30% so knock 30% off those rates and you roughly get the American Numbers.

Of course the rates are the same if your coming from North Sydney and hitting the Island at either Port.

Crusty, I was speaking to one of the promotions gals at the Trade Show last night and I left her business card at home with here numbers and e-mail address on it. She told me that she will send anyone out an information package if its requested so I will get that information to whoever is interested. The general info mailbox for them is info@marineatlantic.ca.

PLEASE E-MAIL ME!!!!

ALSO - I think if you go to the Government of Newfoundland Website under Tourism they will mail out a Tourism Book which is detailed beyond belief on the events across the Province for the year. All you have to do is call 1-800-563-6353 for the information and request a Tourism Brochure. Alternatively go here Newfoundland Tourism Brochure, complete the onscreen information and they will mail one out to you.

Actually i think its cheaper,BUT and this is a big but, this is the ferry from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth, its in US funds, and is a tad bit more expensive than the other 2 ferries, but its a high speed CAT, sounds like a ball, and i have always wanted to spend the night in Bar Harbor
please email me off the board at behling@southchicago.net
if your serious, just so you know, we will be arriving a day later than everyone else, we will not be arriving on the island until August 2nd, so i dont want you to be upset that we didnt get to be gretted by the group, i am kinda thinking of the original plan posted by Newfie
goto go
later
Roger

Please make sure you wear your survival suit as I think you will only last a minute or so if you fell in the water around here.

Newfoundland Dogs are probably one of the most gentle and beautiful animals in the world.

Some can grow to 200lbs.

The breed standard is for a male: 28 in, 130 - 150 lbs. Of course so go above and beyond. Great dog.
