I'm still alive, just haven't had much to say.
A group of us are riding over Yarnell to Prescott and back Saturday morning, leaving around 9AM from my house.
Since I don't always have weekends off, I ride often on the weekdays when there is less traffic and fewer cops.
Either way, rest assured, I am ALWAYS riding somewhere.

OK, Saturday a couple of us got together for a ride over Yarnell to Prescott.

Kelly on his GSXR, Lisette on her Kawasaki, Wycked on his Two-fiddy, Deb and I on the oogly, and Deb's brother Mike on his Harley.
This was in the driveway as we were preparing to leave.

We stopped at Woody's gas station in Wickenburg, for a break.

We spotted this little "Harley" parked by the dumpster. : )

Prescott:

Overlook at Yarnell Pass.

With Debbie on the back, she is able to take some decent shots of the other riders.
Here is Kelly:

Here is Wycked:

This guy was in front of one of the shops in Wickenburg.

The weather was great, and the pace was fun. I had a great time.
I hope y'all are getting in some ride time before it gets too hot!

Anyone planning on going on the multitude of rides this next week? Might be nice to show up as a buell contingent.

After my surgery I managed to get my foot on the peg last night. I should be ready to ride by next week. Rehab sucks balls.

Bunch of charity rides and poker runs to go on. Usually you end up lugging it in 4th or over revving 3rd following all the baggers.

Kobie, Springfast is coming up the 22nd of May, you up to HWY191 in both directions in one day?
Brian, get them tires on and dust off your riding gear, ya gotta scratch that itch!!!
Nice Lid Wycked, Happy Bday!

Anybody got a spare set of uly pegs they want to part with? Or maybe lighting long pegs?

Still trying to get over this knee surgery and I think if I get some pegs that give me some more leg room I might be able to ride a little sooner.

Az. folks...I just got back from a family vaca in Phoenix and have decided to transfer there with my current employer.

I had a few questions- maybe you all can help me...

I know Chester's doesnt do Buell...
Google says Hacienda, Arrowhead, Chandler and Tuscon do. True?

I know the freeways are nuts, and that the photo cops are a big to-do... Hows the actual riding?

Thanks-
Travis

Google is right, Hacienda, in Snottsdale, Chandler, on the east side, in Chandler, and Arrowhead on the west side, in Peoria.
All three pretty much suck, Chandler being the worse. Hacienda is pretty much tied up with all the wannabe rich Harley boys that want chrome, and Arrowhead will tell you they will take care of you, but in the long run, they will just blow you off like the rest...
Your best bet if your warranty is done, is to get a manual, and do your work yourself.

As for the streets and roads, yes, the freeways are full of morons that don't see motorcycles, and the photo radar cameras are all over, even out on the back roads!
But there are plenty of places to ride, OUT OF PHOENIX...
There is Prescott valley to ride up to, Showlow, Salt river Canyon, Globe, Winkelman, and Superior loop, and of course there is HWY 191 that will just blow your mind.
the main thing that sucks here is the frickin weather in the summer. You can get out of town and enjoy the weather and roads in the mountains, but in the long run, you ALWAYS have to come back to the heat at the end of the ride... : (

Good luck with your move, let us know if you need any help getting moved in, and let us know when your ready to ride.
The riding season will be over in two months when it hits 100 degrees!!!

hey fellow buellers that love to ride year-round, aka AZ residents!

So here is my question...
I have HID's and as you all know, they blink when you start up the bike.
I am remedying this by putting in a delay timer, so that the lights turn on about 30 seconds after the key is flipped, so that I can get the bike up and running and have the rpm's stabilized.

Anywho, there are a lot of re-routing and of splicing wires involved and I was wondering if anyone here local has done this same thing and has any pointers or could give advice or lend a hand.

I don't want to cross wires that shouldn't be, so if anyone is good with wiring, and/or knows how buell wires 'bolts, I wouldn't deny you from coming over and double checking my work and thoughts on what to do.
~hint

Thanks,
Alex

I would have gone, had i heard of this ride... I would really like to go up s. mnt. I live 15 minutes from it, and have never been, sad; I know.

I am getting my exhaust worked on right now, and as soon as that is put all back up together, and I get the headlight electrical finished up, and am up for a ride with the fellow AZ buellers!

Bart.. pm sent, and thanks for the help.

New fork springs will be here this week, out of town this coming weekend, but could use some help swapping them out next weekend...
