I'm planning on being at MBVI. I'm staying at C3 Central again.

I finally went for a LONG ride today (spent all day yesterday doing car maintenance). I went up to Cross, around lake Marion, hit several side roads just to see what was down them, checked on General Francis Marion's grave, came through Russellville, Boneau, made a side trip to Bonneau Beach, grabbed a sandwich in Moncks Corner, headed back up to Cordesville and into Francis Marion National Forest, alternated between Forest Service roads and Pavement. Came back via 41 to 526 to 26. Put about 190 miles on the Uly. What a great day for a ride.

Oh yea, I saw some guy on an 08 1125R (w/o a lid) at 78 at Main Street as I was leaving town. First 1125R I've seen on the street.

Indeed: what a great day for a ride!
Weather & traffic are light.
Morning TPS cured ALL mapping-to-Micron issues: engine's now running smooth & strong.
My ride started up through Greenville watershed to Saluda, NC, (still snow in old dirty piles).
East from there to Tryon, NC, over to Landrum and back into SC. Back west across Hwy 11 and up 276 onto Ceasar's Head and back into NC.
Loop through the Dupont Forest and into Hendersonville, NC, for my supper.
Down the mountain on Hwy 25 and I'm practically back home again in SC.

Scott- The roads on your route were just a wee bit better than mine. That's some nice riding. Wow- hard to imagine snow still in Saluda. I guess it's really been WINTER up there.

Well me and the fiance went to charleston for the day yesterday, sunday. Pretty much to enjoy the weather and the sights of charleston and folly beach. Unfortunately we did not take the bike, but enjoyed the day none the less.

I was able to get by Low Country HD and check the place out. Pretty neat place and the couple people I talked to were nice. I got my FREE tire pressure gauge!!

When I got there I saw a purple blast in the parking lot and thought that it had to be purplegirl, and it was. Nice to meet her and too bad she is heading North.

Anyway, glad to see some were able to enjoy a little of the weekend. Get ready for some more cool weather this weekend.

Hopefully the weather will be a lot better for all yall who are going to MBVI!!!!

Tree- I think all the wheels are interchangeable. The Uly wheels have a little more "meat" in the rim to make them more durable; otherwise they're just like the other XB wheels.

Yea, the race (at least the first 10 laps) was awesome. According to an anonymous post in the racing forum, the problem was with some aftermarket bodywork on Danny Eslick's bike. Shawn Higbee ran stock radiator pods and didn't have a problem.

Darren,
It was nice to meet you and your fiancee. I am so glad they still had some tire pressure gauges.
Yes, I hate that I have to move to IL, but at least it will be spring by the time I get there. At least it better be by May!
Hope your house is coming along on schedule!

Hey I forgot to post this. If anyone here is interested in a track day out at the track in kershaw/camden then give Thunder Tower a call and talk with the Buell Salesman Jeremy Welch. When I was there Friday, he mentioned it and said if they could get enough interest, then they would do a track day. Needless to say I put my name on the list. It sounded like they really wanted to do this but just needed the support of people committing to it. I will if I can afford it at the time of the event. No other details than this whether it will even happen, I dont know. Phone (803)461-1121

Darren- I wonder if they're trying to line up one of the Buell track days? THAT would be awesome.

I'm planning on taking all of Friday off. I'll probably haul the bike up in the truck this year and see how that works out for a change.

Well, my wife had a change of plans so I will not be trucking to MBVI. I'll probably leave Summerville early as possible Friday morning.

Hey, I saw a black 1125CR headed out of the Weapons Station on Red Bank Road this morning. That's the first CR I've seen on the street.

Man, it's a long haul to Suches. Augusta is a much better place to start from I'm sure. We need to move Summerville/Goose Creek closer to Suches...

Matt- how much longer before you'll be riding again?

Hugh, if you want to trailer to Augusta I can wait to leave GC on Friday morn and we can carpool. I have space in my truck/trailer.

Ive got to get some cotter pins and a few bolts for the brakes and the headlight clamps.

Bleed out the brakes, break in the race pads, and then do my intake (yes charlie, ive been lazy about it, its been cold!)

Then that should be it.

Hugh,

if you want to be frugal you can shack up at my place for a night, I've got a spare bed. that is if your not allergic to a cat or a dog. I'll be heading out Friday morning, takes me about 30 minutes to reach Augusta.

aside from that lets all pray to the weather gods for a good MBVI

Just to let you'll know ...

It was a 30% chance of rain, but "i" only got a sprinkle coming up at Cottageville and the temperature was 57/59 degrees ...

The one's that were able to make the LUNCH Gathering FRIDAY the 13th were Mike(Jadow), Jeff(Jeffsd), Charlie(Cyclonecharlie), and LaFayette(BUELListic) ...

There was a lot of BUELL talk ...

Maybe the next time "i" get up that way a GATHERING can be on a SATURDAY or SUNDAY ???

Nick- Thanks very much for that offer. I don't mind dogs or cats at all, but I don't know how my schedule's going to work out yet.

Amen on the weather deal. This will be my 4th MB; MBII was completely clear but cold. MBIV was nice but rain on Sunday. MBV had rain Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully we're due for a clear one!

Well it looks like my schedule has changed dramatically. I'll still be taking that Friday the 27th off but I may not have the funds to go. There is a family emergency and my wife has to go to Arkansas so that will probably take all the money I have saved up and ready for MBVI

But depending on how much she spends and when she comes back I may be able to swing it and still go, but right now its not looking good. I'm thinking I'll take some of my money we have saved up for our beach vacation we have planned at the beginning of May....
