I made it to NY incident free! However, as I blindly routed myself off the main roads looking for twisties, I found lots of frost heave, sand, a little snow/slush/ice, and roads that suddenly turned to dirt. I guess I finally rode the Uly like a Uly |

Just got back from a local rip through the canyons... Mostly high-speed sweepers, fun if you take 'em at 2x the recommended speed. I found one or two good roads, but mostly just tried to get lost. Did about 200 miles over 5 hours. |

any of you guys have an XB engine cradle around? you know the tube frame part that bolts to the frame and holds the oil cooler and voltage regulator. |

And I want to publicly apologize to Eric for using my fat arse to break your kid's four wheeler.... I've never seen a swingarm break like that! LOL If you ever (in the next month before I move haha) need a hand with anything, I am in your debt. |

HAhaha it is all good Mike...I think it was broke/cracked anyways, No way your fat azz could break it X2 on that swing arm. apon further inspection it looked to have an old crack (just not all the way through...yet) but the cross bar was a new break, due to the first break & us bigger sized kids on it I am sure. I will weld it up this week/weekend. it WILL be stronger when I get done with it.
That throttle is all jacked up though, cant get full throttle out of it yet..(Damned rookie wanna be racers who can't ride...LOL..)..may need to get another one. I actually may switch to a twist throttle for it. I have not pulled it apart as I was a lazy MOFO yesterday....

nothing against you eric, this was a simple project that has gone way to far, and i just want to get the bike back together and ride....
lets just say there is a reason people are pros at what they do, and thats where i should have started, nuff said. hopefully it'll be fixed soon and i can get the bike back together. |

i'm really pissed i missed the get together over the weekend, just couldn't seem to fit everything i had on my plate into 1 day. it would have been sweet to get my daughter on the track with her little quad....we'll have to do it again. |

eric, the throttle has a governor screw, take a look at it. A nut with a small lock bolt on the outside of the casing.... You'll see it~!
Unscrew it to get more throttle action out of it....
I thought you had it set for your kids' safety..

o.k. so engine is back where it should be and the subframe is on. things are finally headed in the right direction.
could you guys do me a favor and keep a look out for anyone getting rid of a subframe and let me know, id like to have a spare just in case.

Looks like Shawn's got the slowbike showbike XB in it's sex swing again... Seriously dude, that thing changes color more than a teenager's hair!
So who's up for a ride this weekend? Weather Underground is projecting "mostly sunny, highs around 50." I found a fun stretch on CT 197 that picks up just south of Webster on my ride home from NY that we could maybe tie into the normal loop. Does anyone even have their bikes in working order??
