hello all in hoosierland!
i'm lucky enough to be visiting my brother in san fran. today is sunny and 70. we are going for an extended ride along the coast toward santa cruz and on some fun curvy interior roads till dark.
i hope it is at least sunny back there today, and that everyone enjoyed their holiday.................

Hey - a few of us on the Southside have started an Indy Buell Riders Facebook Group in hopes of building some comradarie amongst riders, and to try to get something with a bimonthly standing meeting going. If you are on facebook, be sure to Join up. We have an event, a meet and greet, going on in January at SS HD, and are planning a ride from SS HD to the Bloomington store in March. We'd love to see everyone out if we could.

Looks like you aren't in the Indianapolis, Indiana network. For some reason it will only allow Indianapolis network members. Let me see what I can do to make it global, or if you can join the Indianapolis network, that would work too.

Looks like we are going to move the group page, and rename ourselves.

We would like to be abel to create a cool logo, that doesn't have a buell logo in it so that we can get apparel, etc from cafepress. Do you think they would care if we revived the old Hoosier Thunder Club name, and any past logos that aren't property of Buell, or the dealer?

yesterday was the 1st annual ICECYCLE RIDE & BLAZING SADDLES CHILI COOKOFF at hd-b of bloomington.

as usual, jeff put on a fun event that was enjoyed by all.

we started with a short (but spirited) 19 degree ride around town, marshaled about by some special friends.

we then returned to the shop for a chili competition. 14 varieties, all made by the staff.....that's 14!!
all were very well done, making multiple tastes a necessity. animals involved included cows, pigs, deer, bison, and chickens.

zack from the service department was voted 1st place for his SLAP YO MAMA recipe

thanks to all at hd-b of bloomington for getting us out of the house, on our bikes, and feeding us on a cold, cold day.

you're the best !!

Thanks Eddie. We - the staff - had a great time too. Mark your calendars for January 16th, 2010 for IceCycle II.

We always try to keep a busy schedule of actvities and opportunities to ride and this year is no exception. Check the Events Calendar on the H-D/B of Bloomington web site for what's going on. We've got the calendar pretty well completed, but more rides and activities will be added. Better yet, sign up for the online e-newsletter. We are using this method of communicating more and more and send a new one out every two to three weeks.

If anyone is looking for something to do this weekend check out "Gathering Before The Green Flag" at the Indiana State Museum - Saturday and Sunday. A fantastic display of everything racing icluding motorcycles. This is the second year for the show and it looks to be even more extensive than last year. Mike King from the Indianapolis MotorSpeedway is the organizer and he has gathered a great mix of racing equipment for the show.

Ok, I recreated the group on Facebook. Renamed it to Hoosier Thunder Club. We have a small meet/greet up at Southside HD & Buell this saturday from Noon to 1:00pm. Depending on the size of the group, we may move over to one of the local establishments to grab a bite to eat, and possibly plan out some kind of ride in March. We have a tentative March ride scheduled that will take us from Southside down to Bloomington HD& Buell. We'll be talking routes, etc. Hopefully we will see everyone there.

suggestion: keep meeting regularly, no matter what, & ALWAYS stop to chat up virgin Buellers, to keep new blood coming in

Ed and Walt, thanks a million for coming up for our first meet up. Great to meet you guys. I am super excited, and can't wait to get this thing off the ground.
