Greg, which part of the harness are you having an issue with? ONly time I had a problem on mine(748 though), was one of the wires coming outta the stator got hot, and burned up...

Jeff that's the same one that I have.
I have to find the drawing for the spacer that I made. For some reason I can't find it here at work, it may be on my laptop. |

Chase,if you notice my picture posted above,it IS that wire.I'm told i can "repair" it.Scotty has offered a potential solution that may work,i need a robust connector i can replace the burned one with.

Nope- won't be at Eric's for Daytona; wife's going on Annual Training tomorrow so we've got to get her packed.

You can find them in just about any number and arrangement. Radio Shack will have something to fit the bill.
I've used them with some success when I had all of my farkle wired up on my KLR. But like the man said: dilectric grease the hell out of it. |

Sorry, couldnt see the link/img while in school(they block photobucket, and most others)....
Yep, looks like the same part of the harness to me(been a few years)...
Yeah, you could use molex connection, etc.. I used a MILSPEC "cannon plug" I had kicking around from work.....a bit big for the area, but.. did the trick.. |

Unimpressed, 1125cc Buell taking on/racing 600cc bikes? Duc wins world 1000cc superbikes with little more displacement! America's great superbike can only compete against middle wgt. imports? Not impressed at all, its a joke realy. Call me when ya get a real superbike. Buell,ha put down the cool-aid. |

Yup, not impressed with prilla either, come on get real 1000cc superbikes bikes competing with 600cc middle wgts? yup nuthing to be proud of. What Duc's leagle in that class any-how. Ask them why they didn't race it how should I know? |

And the worse part was poor Eslik.He could've gone the distance.
The temper tantrum funny,i could've imagined him kicking the competitors bike saying "get that f'ing thing OFF!!"
Thanks for the GREAT hospitality (and the "Crown Royal") Eric.It was great fun watching with fellow (6?)
The displacement thing? I had so much fun watching the race,and the competitiveness,that i hadn't considered it.
Was Ducati even allowed to run the 1098? I thought they were limited to the 848

Man...all of the JUNK connectors out there Even Mack truck didn't have an appropriate connector.I spent $15. on various JUNK connectors
THen,as a last resort,and on a whim,i called the Ducati dealer."yep,we have KITS to repair that troublesome issue at $25. ea.
