I can hear the high-revvin' whine of that thing now commin' up from the pits! Trac-days are in Steve's future, fer sure. Well I know how stupid I sound, but... Bettty has moved back into my pants , er I mean heart. I don't know if I'm just 'accustomed to her face', or if it's true love, but I can't seem to shake my feelin's' for my Hooker with a Heart of Gold. So I've been collecting the parts to bring her back for another season. Sofa King many parts that I may be able to ride carefree this year. Well see how the operations go. Just sent this msg to my friends at Desperation Hardly-Ableson... I just want to let you know how pissed off I am at Desperation. I bought my Buell from you for cash, in '00, and have bought a bucket load of parts, etc. from you since. I came down to get rear wheel bearings. I knew they would have to be ordered. You never have Buell parts. After I picked them up and got home I see there are two RH bearings, and no LH. I get out my book and discover that my bike uses two on the RH. Plus ONE N THE LH. Parts guy didn't know what I needed even though he's looking in a better book than I was able to purchase. So when I return home from my third trip I go to American Sportbike, an aftermarket and OEM Buell parts supplier, and find the SAME BEARINGS for the rear, all three of them, for under $25.00. You charged me $60. for just the LH bearing. I have always known Harley parts were over priced, but give me a break! I will be shopping from American Sport Bike, and JP Cycles from this date forward. When I do purchase a new bike this spring, it will not be from you. I'm not gona get obnoxious and call you a #$*(@#$%, or say I hope your $%^ gets caught in a rusty tweezer, but that's what my wallet is saying. bastards | ||

Eric, We did find that the toner race would be aired at 5:30 on friday and thats good.The bad thing is that not every one can make it to Duane and lisa's by the first air time. So, we get together Friday evening and watch it at the 11:00 pm air time and BAMM, everyone gets to party and see the race together. Saturday we chill and relax. Bob | ||

Sadly I'm going to miss the race. I will be busy recuperating from a recently reconstructed ankle (March 2nd). Wish me luck and have a car bomb for me. Irish Car Bombs: Half a glass of Guinness Drop in a shot of 1/2 Baileys and 1/2 Jamiesons Irish Whiskey. Galen, Lots of stuff on the go. Congrats on being a Grandpa and a Radiologist and a mad doctor bringing Betty back to life. Bobby, That Katoom is a beaut! Ron, Laphroaig IS awesome in all it's peaty goodness. Oban is my favorite highland - smoooooooth! I'll be down for a couple of months with this ankle thing but I'm determined to be there for SPLASH. I know now that the Speed Triple is not an appropriate machine for dual sporting. I'll try to stay on the asphalt this year. Have fun everyone! Harv | ||

FYI I spoke with Margo and she advises that Harv is home and doing well.  The surgery went as well as you can expect here in Canada. Unfortunately they put his foot on backwards so he’ll be spending a lot of time walking around in circles.  We wish you well Harv and Margo too. Cheers | ||

Thanks for the call last night. Sounds like you were having fun. I watched the race and there were a couple of heart breakers. Man, Eslick's Buell Team looked inept to the max! Fast bike but it's at getting to be a bad cliche with something always seeming to go wrong. Top 5 finish for Buell not bad though! Did everyone have their Skull PJs on? I'm stuck in bed for another 2 weeks as I have to have the ankle elevated above my heart for 22 hours a day. BORING! Things still look good for SPLASH. See ya soon. Harv | ||

I didn't get to watch the race... Had planned to watch at my buddy Norm's, but he forgot and went snowboarding. Then tried to hook up with Galen out at Duane & Lisa's, but that didn't work out either.  |
