Hey guys- I was wondering what kind of thing goes on at a second Wed. meeting at Hals. Should I bring anything like food or soda/beer for us all to munch on, or any thing else like a note pad or such. Me and Bud spent so much time talking about bike stuff I forgot to ask. Thanx

Gunut, I have a feeling you would be used as a speed-bump out in the parking lot if you had the balls to dawn such a thing. But do what you got to do man.

See Gunnut, is unfortunately, a 'bares' fan : )
But he does ride a Buell. So he can't be HALF bad.

And besides, now we have someone to rib, regularly when the 'bares' lose to us twice in 2009 : )

And your original question Jason, bring your choice of tasty beverage. But I'm not sure if the dealership frowns upon bringing alcohol in.

Yeah, I reckon the Packers fans are pretty hyped up after this last season. It's all good. You guys deserve it after the "Days of our Lives" Favre episode. Rogers is doin good, so we'll have some good competition this upcoming year. Somebody pleeeeeez send a QB to the Bears!!!!!! Maybe you guys could talk Bears upper management into NOT trading our key players! That would be swell!

Hey, they could always re-sign Rex to a long term deal

Orton didn't look bad, but doesn't really have the arm to make the BIG plays.

See, I think as long as the Bears have Lovie as a head coach, you wont have much of an offense. But you're defense should be solid.

The Packers offense was good last year. 5th in PPG. It's just the defense SUCKED!!!!

I've got high hopes for this year's defense switching to a 3-4. But I think they *NEED* to do something in free agency this year.

Glass Grossman? Oh dear lord! They should have let him go years ago. He can make decent plays, but is always nervous after he gets off the injured roster. I like Orton, but they need to keep him in a shotgun formation. Geez, is there anything positive about the upcoming season? I guess we all look for improvement in our teams. Too bad we rarely get it! But HEY, the sun shines on a dogs ass sometimes!

(Please- I've read all the football I can stand, back to cycles). I have a great question, I think so anyway. Would it gain me anything to wire open the exhaust valve and install the race ecu to richen up the flow a little. I have heard several opinions both for and opposed to this idea. Buell, in my readings says No, it's best left alone. Whats up

For now, I'd leave it alone. Until you do some motorwork, or switch out the exhaust, it's not really worth it IMHO. And don't buy the Race ECM.

I know BUD has his wired opened, but he's running a 12 with 9 pistons(higher compression), and ported heads, and a Daytona Twin Tec.

Sometime the spring, I'd like to get a drummer muffler, and have Hals do some ECM spy dyno tuning on my bike, and see what they can coax out of it, while keeping the low end grunt. I had the full race kit on my "ulybolt" up until mid summer. I switched back to stock setup, and was amazed at the low end grunt that I was missing.

We are doing exactly what Steve is talking about for the xb12s that Buell wanted to do for motorcycle news magazine. We are getting the drummer exhaust, and possibly tuning it once Danny sees how it runs. We recently put a Jardine pipe on a 1125R and did not tune it and ran it on the dyno. I did not impress us with performance, actually it did worse than stock. Danny is working to get the ECM spyware set up, and then do some tuning on the 1125, but it will also work for the xb products. This should be a great asset, as it does not trick the stock ECM to get a specific response, but rather it will directly change the ECM. I would do like Steve said, and wait. Hopefully i will have some more information for you guys at the next meeting.

Also plans are moving along for the new Buell Area, and Al and I are excited to get it going. Our target date of completion is March 15th.

Steve and Ryan- Thanx for your opinions. I am also planning on buying a drummer SS muffler this summer and am hoping for the best. They (Drummer) says their pipe works great out of the box with no other mods needed, like a map change or such. I must say I am a bit worried about loosing the low end grunt and/or creating a hole in my powerband but...I mainly want the pipe for the sound anyway. My bikes just too quiet. I am a believer in the load pipes save lives idea.

Ryan, for my two-cents, I think moving the Buell line to it's own sales area is a good idea. Will make the buell's look less like an after-thought next to all the Harley stuff. You will need a big ass sign though showing people where they are. Every time I go into that other Harley place on Layton Ave., where they have that rear Buell sales room, I see people walking around and leaving the place without even knowing the Buells are there. I've been in sales for years and that set-up seems a shame to me.

Roger that Jason! I'm doin research right now to improve performance and keep the low end grunt. Therefore......I'm gonna pay attention to yer post and see how things go! As far as I have learned, the Drummer or Special ops are the way to go (to keep low end torque)!

I stopped in to Hals this afternoon for a few minutes(I work about a mile away). The Buell area is shaping up NICELY. I think it'll work out fabulous!

Damn I can't wait for warmer, less snowy weather!

Ryan, would Hals be interested in a nice 3D milled up sign of our club logo to hang up on the wall? I've got some sign material, and could possibly mill up a sign.

I'd also like to make up some Hats, and Patches for our club this spring.

steve, yeah we would be interested in a sign. Would you want to come by the store someday, and we could go over your ideas and location for the sign? I think that would look great, and showcase our riding group.

We have just finished the our 08 1125R that we put a jardine pipe on, and full fairing bodywok. Our painter matched the blue in the frame and shot all the plastics with that color and then laid some yellow graphics over the blue bordered by a white pinstripe. Looks pretty nice, feel free to stop in and take a look.

I've sent an event(maybe 2) to all the members of the group. I'll get back to you after the weekend to verify how many are coming.
