Buell teams ascend on Daytona 200; the grand daddy of sport bike racing

High Country H-D/Buell will host an after hours “Buells run Daytona” party, Friday 06March2009. The famed Daytona 200 airs live on SpeedTV at 6:00pm High Country time. We’ll have barley and regular sodas, the 6 flat screen TVs throughout the dealership will be showing the racing action, popcorn & snacks, some of our High Country Buell racers and a few other surprises in store.

Among the races at Daytona (American Sport Racing Assoc. ASRA Pro-Series, AMA Pro Moto-GP and AMA Pro Sport Bike) Buell has fielded over a dozen riders this year. In Friday’s Daytona 200 moved to a thrilling night under the lights, six Buell 1125R’s are entered; Michael Barnes, Danny Eslick, Alan Schmidt, Josh Bryan, Shawn Higbee and Bryan Bemisderfer. Some of these are champions from other classes.

Get your Buell or motorcycle race friends together and come cheer on the Buell riders in Americas premier Sport Bike race at an entertaining and fun night at High Country H-D/Buell as we kick off our racing season for 2009 where Dale Niles is campaigning both the Destroyer and a Buell in NHDRA drag racing and bikes in both Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and on the Salt at Bonneville.

March 6th “Live” at High Country H-D/BUELL “The Daytona 200 Motorcycle Race”

See 6 Buells along with other competing brands racing for the top spot on 6 bigscreen TVs and our ultra loud sound system (you will think you are there) throughout the showroom. We will be airing it live from Daytona Beach Florida. First time under the lights, see some of the fastest riders in the nation. Race starts at 6PM. We will be serving refreshments ( must be 21 with ID) and giving away prizes throughout the race. Plus in-store specials on merchandise during the race. To celebrate Buell finishes in any of the top 3 spots we will have a surprise special for anyone attending.

March and April Buell Special:
Buy a new Buell and receive a free track day in May (date t.b.d.) with instruction from one of the fastest guys in the nation. Teachers on hand will be showing you the fastest way around the track and helping you with your riding skills and how to safely push your Buell to the limit.

Yeah, I did see the race. Boy it was great seeing a Buell in the lead and fighting the other bikes.

I will be working on the S1W and doing some house work. Lynn is in FL for a visit with her parents so I need to get the house cleaned up a bit for her arrival back in Colorado.

I am trying to run down an electrical problem with the turn signals, change the bars out, change the controls and blinkers to XB ones, replace the front isolator etc...

I was hoping there would be pics of the activities at HCHD! Wish I could have been there.

Frank, I think Jammin did get some pictures and will probably post them soon.

I know when you need to get work done you need to focus. I'm still debating getting on the bike or taking the truck up Phantom Canyon Road. I'm tending to the latter at the moment.

We had an extreme busy Sat, was selling bikes until 7pm, so no time to download. Today is my day off, going on bicycle ride to burn some of those hotwings and beers off from Friday night. Camera at work, will post photos on Monday.

Thanks everyone for coming. Our host & sponsor was very pleased with the turn out and goings-on the whole evening. One of our racers was there, Brian Anderson was recovering from hernia surgery and the other was unable to make it for family reasons.

We may do another for an up-coming race if televised.
