Really? I've always gotten more than that even on my '03. I ran outta gas one day just as I pulled into the gas station, 162 miles.

I'm up for whatever you wanna throw at me, you know I'm good for it!

The last time we did something like this, a gaggle of us rode to Tulsa in 100+ degree heat to visit Dtx. One guy was on a Busa and flattened his tire, plugged it, and blew it out again (at 165 mph). It was motherflippin hot.

It was hotter than two large rats fornicating in a wool sock.

That brings back some memories! Why are there so many pics of bikes in pieces? Apparently that's what you do with American Muscle. Even now it makes me sweat when I think of how hot it was....

If Drake wants to meet up for lunch in Joplin that would be cool, that way we can see what that 1125 can do! (I've already seen what they can do but haven't ridden with him for a long time)

Hmm I'm almost willing to bet your mpg will get better once you change to synthetic oil after a couple thousand miles (break in).

If I can get my bike running correctly I am up for this. It would be nice to meet some of you guys as well.

My fuel light comes on around 112-116 miles on my 06 City..

So if everyones fuel light is coming on around 100-125 miles, we just need to make sure and setup a fuel stop somewhere around 90 miles. Thats a good ride amount of time to want to stop for a drink/piss anyway. Even the "new" riders can make it that far.

When either one of the bikes starts to cut out and sputter I flip it to reserve. That’s when I stop for gas and red bull but hey that’s just me.

Duff, what oil you running in your XB now?

Sounds like there will be alot of KC people in Joplin that day. I know Sam and I are going for sure, but I will be on the S1 for this trip.

OH GOD the Tulsa trip that was the most god forsaken 3-4 hours I have ever spent on a bike a rigid at that. I could swear at one point I saw the Devil ride by in a car with AC laughing at us. Maybe it was cause I was delusional from the heat.

Fester, I've tried a few different oils which I couldn't tell a whole lot of difference between them. Mobil 1 V-twin, Amsoil 20w50, but I've been using Castrol ActEvo 4T because its cheaper.

You and sam gonna leave thursday? I'm thinkin about spending the night friday night somewhere if you guys wanted to do that? And do some more riding on saturday.

Let's all just agree up front that anybody who runs out of gas has to buy everybody's gas at the next gas stop - and they have to ride bitch with Fester to retrieve gas for their own bike.

Hey Lee how did you find your KTM all the way in TX? Search every craigslist page? I don't think there's a "nationwide" search for craigslist that I could find?

The website works well, but the catch is you get false hits, expired pages, and it limits how you can narrow your search. The craigspal app offers a few more search options. You can search whole states, specific cities, allows negative key words, specific categories, etc... That way you won't get hits in M4M personals and shlt (unless you want them, that is).

Oh, and it is free to download. The pay version will send you email alerts and has other stuff, but the free version is all I have ever needed.

normally I run off a netbook but I try and keep my normal lappy and desktop the same. Just cuts down and the hassel from machine to machine. I also dont have to worry about keeping apps updated or check for vulnerabilities.

If I run any apps its usually something I can port to portableapps on a sd card.
