Just wanted to say that Buell and St Paul Buell-Harley Davidson were the highlight of the IMS! Nice people, very helpful and the free shirt for Buell owners was the cherry on top!
Overall the show was a bit disappointing though, there weren’t nearly as many vendors as there has been in past years.

Free shirt huh. That is prett}y cool. I have always found St paul HD buell to very good to me. I have never felt like a guy buying buell parts at a harley dealer. The staff has always been great and they usually have anything I need in stock.

Free shirt? Heck, I was wearing a "Buell" pullover and was never offered one. Then again, being over 40 and female I'm not exactly Buell's target market... OK Buell, I can take a hint.

Was up at the show sunday ,got my free t-shirt, but had to ask. Maybe 50 and over is not exactly what buell was looking for either. The trials guy was great and the people were friendly enough but the show still had a strange vibe to it.

Thing is a couple years ago there were many chopper builders at the show.I did't go this year but I'll bet there weren't many small builders.Did they have a stunt show, last time I went they had Balls of Steel, that was cool.

Of course the program rules say "to owners who present a Buell key" . . . I'm not sure there's much of an onus on the folks staffing the booth to go devining Buell owners.

The good news is that the didn't run out of shirts this year.

Well, apparently Buell has no interest in us 50 year old ladies and our money- so we'll spend it elsewhere! BTW, I had a lady locomotive engineer with me who makes a six figure income and is just getting into motorcycling- with that kind of disposable income she could be a repeat Buell customer. I would have been happy to let her have my freebee Buell shirt... But Nooooo... Buell would rather market to 20 somethings trying to stay one step ahead of the Repo Man.

The t-shirts went to people who proved that they owned a Buell. All you had to do was show your key. Age and gender had nothing to do with it.

Anyway, Julie and I used the show as our Valentine's date (well, we think it's romantic). She's planning on getting a bigger street bike. She loves her little Redcat CT90, but it's too small for traffic. I was very surprised the we found several sportbikes that she fit (5'0"), or could easily be lowered. After trying all the bikes she could, she decided that a Blast would still be the right bike for her. It was a lot of fun watching her get excited about riding again. I even found a bike that at some point I'll have to get, a Yamaha TW200. We had a great time at the show.

Okay now...stop the hatin". I brought my key to get the shirt.

I found out about the FREE STUFF in the "Owners" section on the Buell official web site. Register as an owner (VIN required) and check the boxes to get info sent to you.
ALSO... If you go to Buell site and print the coupon you can get a FREE Buell tire gauge at the dealership if you go before the deadline.

Well, I had my key with and would have been happy to show it if I'd been told that shirts were available. I signed up on buell.com long ago and haven't heard a peep from them- not sure if I'm blacklisted or if they simply don't market to old ladies.

So you want me to believe . . . . after months of hoopla about "show your key for a free t-shirt" that has gone on Badweb, that you were unaware?

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, right.

Better hurry. . . . I am counting down the remaining 8 months and 3 weeks until you predicted 50% of the Harley-Davidson dealers would go under and Buell would be out of business".

This shirt could be worth a fortune.

Not even I believe you are as stupid as you say you are.

Companies in sound financial condition don't have to pay 15% interest.

Mnrider if you see a amazon green thunderbolt around ,it would be me. It is the finest made.

BTW, on a positive note the owner of St.Croix HD/Buell, Dell, rented space and set up a display for the Urals he carries. Dell was working the display himself along with several loyal customers and put on a great show. Dell suggested I look into a new Buell and even said he'd take my M2 in trade. He doesn't have any leftover '08s so I don't expect a huge discount off of MSRP, but I'll probably follow up and see what he offers. 3rd place Iron Butt finisher Brett Donahue of Donahue HD was there with his Iron Butt Sportster at the HD stand also, and it was great to get a chance to talk to him.

I got an e-mail from BMC last November about the shirt, this is old news. Got mine at the show last weekend. Hey Court, since we're beating the shirt horse, got any of those racing shirts left. If so, should I p.m.?
Thanks, Marcus

Ummm, nothing new here...
Let see, the last THREE years have had the same deal going.
Show your key, get a T. I had 3 different Buell keys. I got 3 shirts.
One for me, one for my son and daughter..
All Buell riders.

Same for the past 3 years.

Where you been, too busy whining?
