I will be starting my concealed carry class in about an hour. Let me know if everyone thinks there is enough interest in a C3 class. I know that guy that runs the class and could probably get one set up.

Myself and 5 others I know are interested, but might already have something lined up. Do you know what kinda prices there would be for a group rate?

MTB,
You should already know that I'd be interested.

It is a 12 hour class, 2 four hour blocks with a 4 hour session on the range. Which is the minimum that it should be run in, if you find a class that is shorter, it is not being ran to state standards. It is through www.fta-ccw.com. I did mention to the owners/instructors last night that I could probably pull together a class for them from all my sportbike contacts. It is normally $125 plus $35 for a gun and ammo during the range if needed. I will see what type of rate they might could give us. I will start a thread to gauge interest.

Last night we went over the law side of things, tonight we will be going over the gun side of things. As an instructor, I see things that could be improved, but most people would not notice and just enjoy the class and the way it is presented as I have except for the instructors teaching style.

I had to replace mine at 6500 and I just turned over 11k, looking like I'll have to replace it again here shortly.

How did you manage to get 10.5k miles out of yours o_O

I wish I could get that kinda mileage out of that tire.I like the Stradas but 4700miles is the most I get.I tend to ride real hard.Got 2800 out of the stock dunlop.

I wish I could get that kind of mileage out of a tire. Best I managed so far was 5700 miles out of a K505 on my Honda and D205 on my M2. Mind you I needed to replace the D205 at 5300 miles but was out of state on the bike during a holiday weekend and could not find anyone open to change out the tire. 5500 miles is the best I could manage out the Stradas. I would get 4000 to 4500 out of the D616 and the Syncs. The worse tire mileage I got were a set of Sport Attacks. I only managed 2600 miles on those.

MTB72 - You got me! Every once in a while I cross-post. It has its benefits.

I do mostly all interstate back and forth from work. Hardly every joy ride. So its not driven very hard. Original owner was able to get about 9k out of his 1st rear strada. I had around 17k on the front before I changed it. What I'm getting at is I drive like a puss. (LOL)

Yep. Office is off of US1 just north of 540, and as you know I live in Fuquay. If I left work on time I would have been right in the middle of that beast. I hung around the office for an extra ~30 minutes and rode home in the green mass behind it.

Good thing you didn't ride in that, a buddy of mine has an apt. in the RBC building on the 26th floor. He said there were construction barriers getting blown around on the street (somebody's car parked on the street got hit by one and was busted up pretty bad), and that some plywood from one of the buildings under construction was getting blown off and flying 6 or 7 blocks before it finally landed.

Mike, sounds great. I assume the money changed hands quickly. Looks like Sunday will be a nice day to ride, but I'll be working on the S10. I'm getting closer to the source of the problem. Long story, other than I would so enjoy kicking one techs ass. The bastard found my cheater signal for the gutted converter and disabled it/cut it off. Then I'm pretty sure he fried it as I was demanding it back. Hope to have the xb back on the road in two weeks, if all goes well.

Twig, closing is on the 20th, we want to be out by the 13th. I've already got my shop moved to the new place and somewhat set-up.

I'm crewing for a friend at Sandblast next weekend since I'm not race ready. Then continue moving, and after all that ... Brother we are going to ride!

I've got the Ventura luggage set up for the Tuono and it's a nice clean application so I'm ready to roll.

Looks like WERA has a race weekend at VIR NOrth mid-March and I'd like to race then, hopefully.

Daytona is a no-go .... way too much going on.

I saw the BMW Superbike prototype (OK, 1 of probably quite a few) at the Motorrad Messe in Leipzig this afternoon. Glistening in it's exposed CF bodywork. But it was after a night of drinking inside the Frankfurt Harley and Buell dealer, and there was a Stripperin (female stripper) too... Volker Schirmer from Buell-Hannover/Buell-racing.com was there as well as many high ranking officials in the German Harley heirarchy.

Mr. Nance,
Volker Schirmer is the person I ordered the stickers from at Buell-Hannover. And, yes, he knew exactly who I was when he heard my name...

Interesting times and some cool pics - but no pics will be posted until I get home...

Scheisse! I have to work tomorrow...

My neck is very sore today, other then that its okay. I broke the passenger foot peg, shifter, mirror, and the clutch lever. Other then that nothing else hit the ground. It was very sad. I'll probably have to get a new helmet. It hit the ground pretty hard, and might have fractured the fiberglass. It looks okay, but I don't want to second guess it.
I passed you on your blast yesterday on my way to holly springs to shoot guns. You were out on 751 or rex dr when I saw you. I was with my dad in his saturn. The blast sounds very nice!!

Oouch, I was hoping nothing was hurt.

If need your neck to be less sore, I really love the chiropractor I have been seeing:

http://www.integrativechiro.com/

Sounds like the helmet saved your life. And you're right, a new one is in order.

Thanks, the Blast has the V&H that Mark and I installed. That may have been before you were hanging out here. Mark basically rebuilt everything on my Blast North of the cylinder base gasket last year.
