Great ride...just not during the flood run. I grew up in Hastings and have done it many times. It's really not the same as it used to be (45 min.from Hastings to Prescott!#@). Way too many people now. If you have the patience to make it to Maiden Rock, you can be entertained by the drunken display of beer muscles wiping out their rides leaving the park. | ||

I have been on the ride and it's fun. As far as I know it's the first big ride of the year and it's for a good cause. All that being said...anyone else going? | ||

Been on the Flood Run many years and it has gotten very big! We ride down the Minnesota side and cross over at Winona coming up the Wisconsin side. The huge line of bikes are going the other way. Great day for people and motorcycle watching! | ||

Flood run pre-meeting has been set! It is going to be chaotic at the Beach Club, so meeting up before hand elsewhere should make it easier to find each other. The Afton Bean coffee shop is about 5 minutes away from the Beach Club (according to Google maps). Meet at Afton Bean Coffee shop at between 9:45am-10:15am. We will leave promptly at 10:15 to make the official 10:30am start at the Beach Club. Niceguyeddy,Unionman has the # plates. OK,heres what happened,I was going to do a small wheely and the torque got the best of me and the bike stood straight up and scraped the rear bag and we hit the tarvy!  We got some bruises and scrapes but otherwise we're OK.Good thing we had lots of padded gear on,my jacket and gloves got shredded. The bad news is my fork is bent so I won't have a bike for a while,but the spring get together is still on. | ||

The Run was great!!! After the unfortunate incident.....  .....I hooked up with some sport bike kids and later some HD guys to finish the ride. I made the entire loop, from St. Croix beach to La Crosse!!!! This was the busiest Flood Run I have ever seen, the weather was perfect all day, up until I hit Winona on the way home. Mnrider and Bride, Fung and Ducbsa are really nice people! It was pretty cool to see the Buells together! We need to get together again to roost the back roads! | ||

Very sorry to hear about the crash. Probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't led us the wrong way earlier!  RPM, with us being late to Afton (see above), I missed out on seeing your Crossroads bars. Maybe next time. | ||

Yes I'm afraid she was on. We've been riding two up for over 25 years and this was the worst thing to happen so she was a good sport about it. Heres after the crash,we had a ride coming.   |
