Dave are Nissan pads an option on the XB's or just the 1125 models? Did you do fronts only or rear too? What benefit do they bring over stock? Feedback/control?, stopping response?, lower cost?, cleaner?....Service life time will tell I guess.

The pads are for the 8 piston calipers.
Stock for the rear.
Benefit is more control at extreme useage.
Downside may be increased wear on disc.
The cost is about 2x standard replacements.

Try the Lyndal Golds for the XB, you will not be disapointed!

American Sport Bike sells them...

Latus should stock them : )

Slimdave: "Track day Monday Sept. 21st"

Will be there tomorrow, unsure which bike to ride.

Mandatory corporate meeting nixxed my participation last month!

Glad to have made at least ONE trackday this year. Business and family time conflicted with other pre-planned PSSR events this year.

C group was crowded, with (too) wide a range of bikes/riders. There were a couple fast guys on Duc 848 & 1098, a quick SV1000, and a slow bunch including DR supermoto and old guy (well, older than me!) on a Tuono.

Little XB9S maxed @ 122 down the front straight - with a tail wind - and performed great for a minibike & Nile Shriner combo. Forgot to put on Firebolt pegs, so the Lightning pegs and my boots were scraping in T2-4 too much for my liking.

Had to drive twice for gas due to the 2003 tank's limited capacity. Also had an OSM when trying to shift into 5th at 100MPH on front straight and the shifter linkage fell apart. Rode (stuck in 4th gear) up to Jantzen Beach Home Depot to buy replacement and Lok-Tite, back in time to catch latter half of the next C group session.

Good to see Dave and Paul.
