LOL...I am trying not to think about that conversation in multiple ways.

Hope you had a great Birthday, and sorry I missed it.

As for Rubberdown, I am glad you are doing better. I broke 3 ribs(my way was about as exciting as yours) and it was hard to breath for 2 months, so you seem to be doing well. A high speed parking job, and your hands are tweaked? The rest of us would have had hands that were just flat sc---ed up. I think someone may need to go chain that bike up to keep you off it. We are all glad you are around to enjoy the Holidays with family and friends.

Kylie has been given a temporary reprieve from chemo as the want to do a few more test to decide how much and how long. So she is going to have a great Christmas.

I was just goofing and looking at a used 08'Bolt at RP.com...Wow I miss my bike.

Merry Christmas to all of you... and for those of you that go to church and for those that need to be. Come Visit us at C3church.org

Aaron, Shadyplace20, how cool is it to get an IPOD just for demoing a Road King? You didn't knock any reflectors off the road did you? The bike you rode was the one I used to kill the reflector on OMHR.

Yes, an iPod for a ride on a beautiful bike on a warm December day? Can't beat it. Heck, it's almost stealing.

No reflectors this time, but I did lean it over pretty good at an on ramp and I thought about you. Too bad it didn't have much gas or I might still be out.

The item that got me the most was cruise control. Lots o' gadgets. Me likey.

Amanda is going to Pennsylvania on Christmas Eve, so Santa came early. I've got some cool tee shirts. : )

I've wanted the No, No, No on a shirt since seeing it for the first time. Amanda found a guy in France with the original print ad. : )

Hope Carlos and the crew got back home ok without getting too wet. Good to see ya'll. And everyone remember, if you drop by RPHD/Buell, you have to tell the receptionist to give me a buzz otherwise I might end up missing ya'll.

Very nice to see the good folks at Ray Price Buell/HD again. It's always a pleasure!

Sorry that I just missed seeing Carlos, Kristi, and Mark.

Nance and Amanda were looking good heading down the road on the Uly. Thanks for the wave!

Happy Holidays All!

It was a day for meeting people. Amanda and I decided to go to New Bern again because the Cemetery she photographed last time turned out to the the wrong one. Not that we didn't have a great time doing it. The correct one is a few blocks away at Christ Episcopal Church. Most of the stones date from the 1700s, and have cool "death heads" on them.

We set out at about 9:30 and about an hour into the trip I look over and see several Buells parked in front of a restaurant. We stopped in there were Carlos, Webe, Jonh, and Brankin. Had lunch with them and continued on to New Bern. Took the pictures, walked around. The weather was fantastic.

We headed back and it started to Rain as we got close to Raleigh. I saw Carlos right after the rain started, headed home. I don't know where the other guys were.

Right about the time I get close to Raleigh, I see a BMW in a truck. I pull up to see the driver and notice the little sweetfeed horse on the door. It's Mike & Rachael, and I'm guessing that's the beat up HP2 in the back.

I can't believe I ran into so many people today. : )

That HP2's not really that beat up after all. I had it checked out by professionals. New triple clamps, straighten the rear subframe about an inch, a master cylinder, and some bits around the headlight/handlebar area and it's good to go. The main frame is undamaged. Still looks damn HOT too.

Nowhere near an insurance salvage case. Clean title and parts on the way. Fortunately, due to the connection with the Performance Center, I can get parts at wholesale plus 10%.

An experienced GNCC rider was checking out my bike at the shop and was asking about the tires I had on it. Super aggressive IRC race knobbies that I had spooned on immediately prior to my last ride. He said "did anybody warn you about those tires?" Apparently they have a wicked reputation for grabbing towards the end of slide and inducing a high side when brand new. Learn something new everyday, sometimes a day or two late. Maybe a contributing factor in my F'up.

I can't wait to get back on this bike.

Sorry we missed you and Rachael, Mike. I am glad to hear you are out and about. Good thing that HP2 is not a Buell. You can scratch one of those to death.

It was great to see so many Buells around Ray Price yesterday. We will definitely have to make a race or two to cheer on Jordan running CCS in 2009 on the new 1125R race bike. The dyno numbers were just impressive.

It was a day of surprises yesterday. When Jim and Amanda pulled up I thought someone had posted the meeting place and they just decided to join in. It was great that they saw the bikes and decided to pull in and join us for lunch.

Jim the reason you saw me alone is that the rest of the group had to stop for gas and I was late for a family gathering. I was going to break off from the group in Goldsboro anyway, just decided to keep going since I had stopped for gas on the way up and knew I had enough to get home. You know the weather report stated 20% change of rain. That rain cloud must have been right over my head because it followed me all the way home. The rest of the group pulled off just before I saw you heading the other way.

The nice thing about Orange Ulys is that they are so recognizable. When I saw Webe's and your bikes parked over there, I knew immediately what they were. It's harder with the black ones since you can't see the details as well.

First ride .... impulse ...

unloaded the beast from the trailer, sat on it ... it was like an alien force guided my hand to the key and switched it on, no instrument panel hooked up but no matter. Without control, I hit the starter and it barked into life right away. Intending to move it into the shop I found myself roosting my way onto our street. I forgot I didn't have gear on and my bones were grinding a bit and went down the street a bit. Had to stop at the intersection but had no front brake, caught first and that damn competition knobby locks up on the wet pavement; kinda fun. Get back to the house, roost the gravel out the driveway into the backyard. Goose it and dig a 40 foot trench in the sand yard, pull into the shop and shut it down. Hehe Haha, enough of that stoopidity. This bike acts like PCP on the user. Can't wait to start wrenching and putting it 100% right.

Looked at a really nice black '09 R1200rt .... damn what bike ... I'm really tempted as I could use a street/touring bike. I've test ridden them and tried to ignore how sweet they really are.

Buell just doesn't make the bike I need and I don't think a HD is going to satisfy my riding style.... but, I'm keeping my mind open. MY favorite Buell now is the 1125CR with the high bars but its really just a toy and I already have a couple of those.

Rubberdown; good to hear the road to full recovery is headed in the right direction.

R1200RT; OH MY! I have demo'd a couple times, what a great machine they are. Temptation ends when the moths fly out of my wallet and momma hold the purse strings with an iron fist. My next demo is going to be two up. Will see if she still loves the 10 year old geezer glide's worn out & outdated suspension then.

Yee Haw!! X-Mas break starts today, and will end Jan.18th. Work the crap out of you, then lay you off. The new American way, or rather the Gilbarco/Danaher way. I'll gladly take a couple of unemployment checks. It felt mighty good to put the steel toes in the closet, and toss the cooler in the basement. Gotta get the xb out for a 50 mile romp next Sat. Been to long.

On a more sour note, I made a terrible boo-boo yesterday. Pat and I finally went to load up the tiger-oak sideboard we picked out from her Dad's estate. Maybe 1 mile from our house. So we we load it up in the back of the S-10, and Mr. {twig} does not strap it down. "It will ride just fine"...famous last words. 1/4 mile up the road comes a slight right curve. Still at 30 mph, check mirror, then saw it lean. That was all it took. Oh KRIKES!!! It did a half nelson from the driver side. It broke up into three main sections. No pieces were lost. It took the crash well. The mirror did not even have a crack. We were very fortunate that I did not cause an accident because of my lack of judgement. When in doubt, strap her down. Now, several days of my time off will be spent glueing, and clamping on a carcass.

Twig, sorry to hear it. A buddy of my was hauling an engine and left the tailgate down. It's heavy and will not move right? He took off from a stop light but the motor didn't. He was a strong little joker, maybe 150# soaking wet, but able to drag the motor off the road by himself.

I have to work Friday but then off until January 5th. I wish it was planned but like all other manufacturing, we`are`slow.
