Hey Sandblast - you bet. I am still trying to work out a good meeting place. So far, the Venturans are leaning toward a Malibu Canyon area ride which would have everybody meeting more like somewhere over Malibu/PCH area. We didn't figure that we'd have this set in stone until tomorrow. This is not a big ride, probably just half dozen folks. More like a get-together at the Rock Store. I'll let you know probably late today or sometime tomorrow. Last contact with a couple folks was yesterday afternoon and we're planning on finalizing this tomorrow | ||

Scott (and anybody else) Rock Store at noon it is. I haven't gotten feedback from the others yet other than to agree to a rendezvous at the Rock Store so we'll just put a lock on it. We might meed somewhere earlier for a run up La Tuna but realistically nobody seems to be wanting to wake up too early it seems! Welll.... anybody going to the Long Beach show - and when ya goin? Turns out that the movie Faster is only playing on Friday and Sunday (not Saturday) - in case that makes any difference. | ||

Slaughter- I am going to the show, riding out from southwest Riverside. I'll probably go over the Ortega Hwy and take freeways from there, but I dont know how far that would make the trip (I should go to mapquest tonight). I'll be going Saturday unless there is a huge reason to go Sunday instead. | ||

My only reason to go on Sunday is to see Faster - the Moto GP movie. For some reason, it's only showing on Friday and Sunday, not Saturday... go figure. If you haven't seen a trailer for it (and you have a broadband connection) - check it out at: http://www.fastermovie.com Click on the "Trailer" link at the bottom of the page. If you're into racing at all, looks to be a spectacular show. A couple others are talking about preferring to go Saturday but I want to see the movie. I don't know if the show is going to empty out early on Sunday or not - past years I have gone on Saturday. | ||

SCAB meeting tonight. The no dues, no officers, no agenda, just Buell oriented activities type of club. Everyone is invited. We meet at the Press Box Sports Bar and Grill at 7:00 PM. Slaughter- Faster sounds cool, but I did not look at the trailer because I am on a dial up until my contract expires (soon). I am going saturday because thats the day some family members will be there. I also will be going to a party on the Queen Mary that night, doubt I'll be staying though. I'm really hoping to meet up with some Buellers while I'm there. If anyone is interested I'll be going over the Ortega Hwy starting in Elsinore. From the bottom of the hill it is a 44 mile freeway ride to the convention center. I love that part of Hwy 74 though (before the freeways). | ||

Does anyone know anywhere close to Hemet that is not Quaid Harley that stocks jets? I need a 45 slow jet bad by this weekend.! Quaid said they dont stock them  . Thanks. | ||

Quaid doesn't stock a 45 pilot jet? Shit, tell them to GIVE you one they removed from a customer carb they rejetted to a 48 since many HD twins come stock with the 45 pilot. -Saro | ||

No Saro, because Quaid in Temecula does not stock anything, except for a "better than you" attitude. But I found a shop in Temecula that repairs and tunes Harleys and customs- they were very helpful, very cool, interested in what I'm doing to the Blast, informative etc... They have a dyno too. They GAVE me the jet cause all I had was a bank card and told me to make it up later. Awesome. I'll be recommending them and shopping there often. Problem is I forgot the name of the shop lol. Ill post it later. Its on Enterprise circle in Temecula. Now to go install the jet! | ||

The quick way to the Long Beach Dennys where we've met before is take the Long Beach Fwy (710) south and exit 6th St, go about 3 or so blocks and it's on the left. | ||

I have been working long shifts the last few weeks (you may have noticed I haven't been posting much lately), and I was hoping things would have slowed down by now, but they have not.
