well, i rode the xb9s to my mom and dad's for thanksgiving dinner yesterday, and the rear drive-side wheel bearing took a crap on the way home. i nursed it home slowly. anyway, i am in asheville, nc, and am going to raleigh monday (down I-40 to RDU). i have been to the dealer in gastonia, and the one in hickory, but i am wondering if anyone knows a good one around raleigh, that might have the bearing in stock, and maybe even install it in the wheel. i have the wheel off.

and another question! this is a 2003 with 10,000 miles. should i go ahead and replace the belt while i have it apart? the belt looks great (but the bearing did too, yesterday morning!) the bearings had the black seal.

any input on what bearings to use? i know some folks are having problems with the newest ones.

any help or advice is appreciated!
ed

That'd stink. They did a good job on Henriks S2 last summer, and did all the right things for somebody on a road trip with a mechanical issue.

Ed,
If you still need bearings drop me a PM. I have spares new in the box.
Been out of town or would have responded sooner.

Not true about Tilleys. Me and Brankin were in there fri and they had more Buells than I have seen there since bubba left. they had at least one of every current modelin there.

thanks flynuly! i picked them up at tilley's today, so i am set. they were fully in "buell-action", and were very helpful and friendly. they even checked out my old belt and told me to put it back on there and ride!

thanks!
