Met the guy that bought the second one from HDHD, nice guy. Told him about BAB, hopefully he logs on and says hi. The other rider was a lady, didn't get a chance to talk to her. On another note, HDHD final heard the knocking noise coming from the engine. 3rd times the charm I guess. They said, "ooo, that sounds bad.." and I've been riding it like that for 2 months because they couldn't hear it the first two times I dropped it off (has gotten a little worse, but not that much). The rider appeared to be OK, althoug he was still there with the EMTs 45 minutes later. We just went to the summit and back. You got track plans Jeremy? Sounds like serious cash for a street bike. Got the call today, 25R getting a new engine... They have had it for a couple weeks trying to get the knock figured out, working with Buell Tech. New Sprockets and chain will run about $200 New Tires....around $250 Yeah I got track plans for next year,,,,I was going to try and go in the spring but since i got stupid and decided to drop another couple grand into the bike its probably going to be later in the summer that i go....as long as im still making money that is. yes, im keeping my now approx. $18.5k Yamaha R6. like i said...im going to be sick. Sorry Mike...i think im just kind of stuck with holding on to this bike....the plan is to hopefully make this a track only bike within the next 5 years...granted it will already be outdated 5 years from now....but it should still make for a killer ride. Anyone riding this weekend...I am planning on it so let me know if any of you decide to go, I got a couple friends that may tag along too... I've been looking into a track bike lately, but I think I'll just use this beast for the time being. Nate, at least you get to start over. How long till you get your bike back? I may be up for a ride on Sunday afternoon. It will depend on when I get back into town. I'll let you know.   C4bird Posted on Thursday, October 16, 2008 - 01:34 pm:        Wow J, that will be a pretty sweet track ride. Yeah, getting the new stuff is the positive to it. I should be getting all the new 09 stuff (motor, injectors, updates) plus I asked them to line the inside of the frame to fix the boiling issue, which should be nice. No idea when they'll get it done. Engine on the way, usually take 10 days for a harley, but unknown since not many of these have been replaced. Figure 10 days or so for the swap too since it hasn't been done either.
