Dyna...That is Jen and she is really great as are the rest of the parts counter folks.

I have learned that all the parts counter folks at Hal's do the same thing that you experienced. What you need to do it tell them you have a list of things you need up front. Otherwise, they jump through hula hoops to get you in and out so they can get to the next person in line.

They are also very good about leaving you alone with the parts books so you can look up what you need at your leisure. Always there when you have a question and usually have the answers unless it is something that the HD/BMC parts network is vague about (like the saddle I ordered this summer).

If you need to see a service writer, they are all great to work with, but I really like Sam Monroe.

Just the never-so-humble opinion of a guy that is dealer dependent for mechanical stuff.

Dave, I know they watch the other sites too, but not nearly as closely as this one. I have seen the proof with my own eyes.

Bill, she may be a great person...but she was still a bitch. Dont treat me like just another number in the line, treat each & every customer like they are the most important person to them & you will have a repeat customer for life.

Just kidding about the gazing part. You do have a point. As a rule they are relatively cool and professional with the customers. In'n'out seems to be the SOP.

Then again, you need to consider they have duties in the back room as well as at the counter and only a few hours per day to accomplish all they are expected to do.

One of the biggest problems with a busy dealership is all the time that can be lost to the "Lookie Lou's." I and countless others have spent what seemed like hours behind some bonehead that was just shopping/pricing/getting ideas when I was in a hurry to get in and out.

Is a tough thing to deal with, but I still feel they do it the best way they can under the circumstances.

Wow...Something must be in the air. Brew City has more posts than any other thread on the board the last few days. Not bad for a bunch of malcontents. LOL

How about 2 lines then...those who know what they want & 1 for the lookie lou's?

I know what you mean about some of the clowns, I go in to buy a quart or 2 of oil & someone in front of me is asking 238 questions about a Corbin seat for their Roadglide.

And Gazing??? Doubt that very much, want to do some gazing go hit Gator HD in Florida. OH MY GOD!! I had this one women who works there come around the corner & I just about passed out. She was drop dead gorgeous. Even the wife agreed with that. Tall & blond & tanned, had on the usual leather mini skirt & leopard print tube top type deal. The she opened her mouth to speak & I almost threw up. Had one of those squeaky mini mouse type voices, totally ruined it for me:D
Very nice bed trophy, just dont have her say a word & its all good.

Oops, sorry about that. I do step aside though as soon as they hand over the parts book, write down a list, and have them check the details once the line does clear out some.
Let me know the next time you're going there and I'll give you an example. ;)

Next you're probably going to tell me you were standing in line when I called on the telephone too. :)

Naaa...That was Erik on the phone wondering why sales were down.

Plus, I noted that they are real good with letting you peruse the parts books on your own and then price everything for you asap. Have done that a few times and really like the service.

Now if you were the guy with a coffin full of bling-bling that inspected and had to chat about every stinkin' piece. We know who you are and suggest you shop elsewhere!

Mini Mouse...Whew, what a relief. The build up almost sounded like you bumped into a "SheMale."

Maybe because its a desolate wasteland over there? You can stand amongst the Buells & accessories for a month & never be asked if you need any help.

But slide past a loaded Roadking at a brisk pace & the salesman will chase you down & tackle you in the parking lot.

I have seen some of the "women" in our local dealerships. Let me tell you something, SheMales look better:D

Dyna, I meant how sad but true to the desolate wasteland, but unfortunately it actually applies to both your posts. Gulp...I know I am dead meat now!

Still laughing that Blast's were disqualified but Valkyrie's were accepted in a Buell sponsored national series.

Oh well, good thing about the hold up on Jerry's consolation prize jacket. With the pending holiday's and new years resolutions, he may change sizes.

i think his jacket is stored in the same cabinet as my warranty
(hit the wrong button)
after about 6 months of not receiving it then it's a fairly sure bet it ain't gonna happen.

I think that was a huge farce. Blasts are disqualified yet Hondas are ok.

I dont think Jerry is ever going to see that jacket, which is ok because then it would be proof he ran in the event & you dont need to give em anymore ammo to void your warranty. Think of it as a lesson about how the beloved Buell company is run & let it go at that.

I have to agree with Dyna on the seperate lines, it sounds like a great idea. More than once I've decided to go get my oil elsewhere because the lines were just to long and there are plenty of places between there and home where I can get 20w50. When I want parts I almost always use a phone.
