Saw a comic on TV yesterday did a routine about the current White House cast. Bush, Dick, and Colin. Hhmmmm!
A short ride up the road today and I'm friggin' pumped. Day off and I'm riding tommorrow! Its bloody scary! I feel like a f+ckin' fool! Since the spring ferchrissakes!!!!
Still needs a rebuild (or (temporary) replacement) but I sure was cryin' in my beer about having such a time reeling in Galen or Lorraine on the straights. I guess that's why. Doh!

Hey Canucks,
I see Galen has a party planned that sounds like it will be an excellent excuse to see some of our favorite people. I also think that if Jimmy's DVD is done, it might be the proper venue for the premiere. Anyone in? Jim, howaboudit?

Harv

Can't express just how much work goes into DVD creation.
First off, that little romp from Randle to Cougar occupies over 75GB of hard disk space. That's right 75 Gigabytes, and that is not including the editing of said video footage. Add the time to clip the footage from the 60min+, add transitions, add music (could use help from the audiophiles here) and then render it!

Oh, did I mention all the interruptions from the kids and wife. Touchy topic!

That's just the first clip. Next is Thundercross and the photo slideshow (If I get some more photos)!

But, thanks for the added pressure.

PS. Love the Camel Toe video. LOL!

All Canadian Friends; Yes you are soooo right about this being a great time to go south for a 'little fun'. I'm talkin' epic Trouble in Tacoma! Please try to find the time. And the border. More news to come.

Well Harve, Jim. I've checked my calender and I indeed have Oct 11 and 12 off. Are we hoping the drought continues til then or are we car-pooling?

Biking down would be awesome, but I think car-pooling will be the outcome.

Who else is coming?

My insurance is done on the 19th of Oct. What if the forecast is outstanding? I'd love to ride but if we have to drive so be it.
Jim, do you still need help with the tunes for your SPLASH masterpiece?
Think

After all, we are on the left coast.

Galen

If you can't find the file that contained the uncut Splash photos, what about the cut photos? Anything PLEASE!

Harv

Your help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can even give you an early draft copy of the DVD to view and get a feel for the motion. Let me know!

It's gonna be so coooool!

Jim,
Let me know when you have the draft and we can meet to discuss it further.

Is there any riding to do in the next couple of weeks?

They're ready, and going fast!

Thank you all for sending your pictures.
Regrettably the slide show feature ended up on the cutting room floor.
Sorry they couldn'd be used in this DVD.
Lots of fast helmet cam footage ate up all the disc space.

75% of printed discs are already booked!
Reserve a copy now!

Cheers

Well. Insurance ran out yesterday so I guess that's it for the season. Or maybe not! If this wacko weather continues til Partytime I'm up for getting a permit and riding down with Harve. Or driving if you're up for it, Harve. Wife and kids are heading for Kelowna for Thanksgiving at Mom-in-Law's and I'd pay money to miss that! So I'm free for the weekend!
The Oyster Run was fun in a slow cruiser kinda way. Putted down in the parade of bikes with my buddy on a Big Twin. Stayed an hour, missed out meeting with Brandon, unfortunately, then did a lap of Whatcom Lake, North Fork Road and such. Did wail through a few corners to clean off the last of the chicken-strip on the left side of the tires.
Next time I see those roads I'll be on an S2, if things go according to plan! (I've been watching Cycle Trader.com and they're going for a song!) The Sporty will get a major tear-down and thereafter serve as back-up! Yeeehah!

Eric,
I'd love to go with you to The Gala Galen Bash but it looks like we're going to Comox to spend Thanksgiving with my folks. My dad recently had both his knees replaced and could use some cheering up as he's not that mobile yet. Not to mention my bike is apart as I have to replace the wire from my rear brake switch to the section of the wiring harness that goes to the brake light.
You should still try to make it and do us Canucks proud. Sorry Bud.

Allrighty then! Thanks for the feedback, Harve. This change in weather doesn't bode well for the riding-down-there plan. Considering the rattling noises its been making since Border Raid, that may be just as well. I may consider taking a Greyhound, depending on cost. Turns out Saturday is supposed to be a work day but I can always book off.
The DVD is superb, isn't it.
