... sometimes I feel like GrassHoppa' from the old Kung-Fu series.....

I like beef stew so I wanted to have beef stew last night. But I didn't. Stew takes a few hours to cook if you want it to taste real good. Making stew and impatience just doesn't work. The result won't be as good compared to having patience. Of course...it seems to taste better the longer it simmers. Heck...the next day after it sits chilling in the fridge over night...it even is better. That's the thing about stew. Let it simmer a while then maybe sit overnight.

I wanted to go riding, but I had stuff to do here this weekend. Today and tomorrow...I might ride.

I would like to confess father. i passed a car on a double yellow line. well several times actually. on the same day. i assumed the guy on the line-painting-truck just fell asleep and laid down too much paint. what do you command for my penance?

can i ride with you guys ever again?

he does talk alot.

p.s. DAve told me about the wheelie rule... after i landed one the first minute i met you in the ozarks. i apologize for that one too. it will never happen again... in your sight.

There's a wheelie rule?

Talk about penance, what do you give a guy that slept on Rt129 15miles from the Dragon, but didn't manage to run the Dragon (and was in a rental to boot).

The good news is I have a place for us to stay in Knoxville (Maryville) and my bro has a pool table.

I can top that. I had a room rented and took a nap at the resort, and did'nt run the Gap.

"I like beef stew so I wanted to have beef stew last night. But I didn't. Stew takes a few hours to cook if you want it to taste real good. Making stew and impatience just doesn't work"

DAve...You must have crystal balls...Beef stew is exactly what John and I had for dinner at that little diner somewhere down Hwy 21...And I can eat almost anything but the stew gave me the worst indigestion I've had in a long time...Hell, Belly Bombers don't have the same effect...It was made in haste and sooooo greesy...So, boys and girls, if you happen to run into a little place on the east side of Hwy 21 just north of 32 take a pass unless it's no longer called Betty's...

Josh and Tripper...If it was a weekend it's just because you're smarter than me...

Regarding the passing issue, John just wasn't ready for me, unleashed...Leading rides I try to take it easy but when it's just the two of us sometimes I get a bit carried away...Fred Ziglar (HSTA past prez and Friends of Freddies Rally namesake), John and I did the pre-ride for FOF the week before the rally...Fred led most of the way and set an, uh-hum, brisk pace...I spoke with him later that evening and he was grinning from ear to ear about "the best ride he'd had all year"...So, if you're going to kick up the grin factor it's best done alone or in really small groups (like two) with riders you REALLY know well...

Coming home last night, just after turning off 47 onto KK heading for Lonedell, John did a stoppie to avoid becoming an ornament on the rack of a big buck...

Saw a bear last Monday night on B just north of Jones Creek heading toward Hillsboro...Small black bear runs across the road doing that bear lope run thing and gets off to the right and stands up to see what's making all the racket...Two year ago we had sitings of two in the wildlife area directly behind our house and over to W at Hoene Springs...Our family vet saw them one morning behinds his barn...Scott (the vet) said they were prolly two young males looking for new territory and pussy (imagine that!)...Remember the one that ran across the road in front of us just after we left Fontana?...

See Ya!

Bear? All I need is my Ruger .22 for protection!

BOb et al...I'm in search of the AR ride routes. I'll be searching BadWeb and my archives in a few. If ya have some handy... either email to me or post 'em here please.

Still waitin' on parts for my S3. You know... hard to find stuff like a f'in' throttle cable that had to be ordered. S2 dissasembled...The Jurassic Tiger is cushy but lacks that grin factor. Sooooo ... I need to look at tires on the S1.

DAve...Go here for info on Ar moto roads

http://www.arkansasrider.com/

Our loooong way home from the meeting with the MOB was south from Eureka Springs,Berryville 21, east 16, north 9, 5, east 56, north 62/63...The western part of 16 is surreal...

See Ya!

DAve...I forgot to add...When you're down there you REALLY need to stay a while with Arild and Krazy Kathy...Believe me, you won't be sorry...KK is now even talking about building a biker bunkhouse over the winter so more can say at the AR Ranch next summer...Seems we are overflowing the house and motorhome...You never know who you will meet there as they have many Euro friends who occasionally visit...Arild is from Norway...KK is American...She says she married him because he was tax free...They are wonderful people and, to say the least, KK is entertaining...Especially after she's been dipping into the "nummy stuff"...At dinner you get your choice of chicken, duck, pheasant, guinea fowl...Or bear...Well, maybe not the bear...Arild's name is pronounced R L...

See Ya!

Thanks Roger...There is a movement here to organize a bus trip leaving for Chicago Saturday late afternoon and coming back Sunday evening...If this falls through, I'll let you know...The dealer organizing this (Widman) is acquiring the tickets along with the rest of the package...

If anyone has a special request for this Sunday's lunch or ride destination, now is the time to speak up...

See Ya!

very good buffet...We should be there about 0100...Stephens is
located at 1 South Main St (Hwy 19)...573.729.8612...
