Pipe size will change at what rpm range power is, or can be made. Ecm tuning would be required when changing primary sizes. Insulating the pipes is always good. Weather you decide to coat them inside and out or wrap them.

I'm in the mood for some fine greasy breakfast.Corned Beef hash "extra crispy" at
'Lil & Gene's is very delicious.

It'd have to be early if there. They're small.

My interview went great yesterday.I'm in no rush.It could be lucrative to drive to Franklin,Mass.A new car?

I've seen the CR and holy crap... I wasn't stunned by it on the web, but in person I loved it, definitely a contender for my next. As for the R I have only seen the 08, it rode PERFECT.. The dealership gave me the chance to get it up to 95-100 on the highway and if it wasn't for the speedo, I wouldn't have even known. I fell in love with six speeds that day.

What a great way to end a season. Me and typeone were doing a Tony's Track Day.

My bike has been running great all season, but yesterday it started to tell me it was time to break it down for the winter. The final sign was when my belly pan fell off (which you can see in the second photo). Other things were loosening up and oil was puking a bit so I chose to call it a day a little early. What a fun time though. If you haven't done any track time before, I totally recommend doing a Tony's Track Day.

Erik, How much did Tony's Track Day cost you. I checked out the website and since 2008 is over and 2009 schedule is not posted, they have no pricing. I have already checked out Penguin Racing School's program for next spring, and would like to compare.

Tony's Track Days cost $285 per day. If you are a member of New England Street Riders, you get a discounted price of $255. Penguin's school is good if you plan to race, but if you just want to improve your riding ability, do a Tony's day. I've done Tony's twice and a 2 day Penguin school. I plan to do another 2 day Penguin school next year to help with racing specific stuff, and to see improvements in my lap times over the course.

Erik, great to hang with you on Tues! those pics rock, i think i should have bought the CD, only a few so-so ones of me from earlier in the day. i cant wait to get up there for another TTD next season, that was the sickest day ive ever spent with the Buell. ran like a champ. so much i want to continue working on, cant stop dreaming of reference points and the line.

the whole show was top notch, instructors were super cool and infinitely helpful. had great conversation at lunch with Tyler about T3, Arcy helped me with T7-8 and Gino with loosening up my arms.

if you havent done it, you gotta get out there at least once. makes riding on the street feel silly.

BTW, there are lots of raffles, etc. i won my day for FREE : )

Just got off the phone with Peter Kates, I am getting a Penske shock for next year. Hopefully with ride height adjustment and a heavier spring rate I will stop dragging everything on my bike.

Isn't it better to move the parts that are scrapping the ground (do what ever it takes) vs. lifting the rear of the bike and changing the geometry & way the bike handles/settles in?

The shock is a great add on, but get it to work your suspension, not for ride height clearance problems.

Looking good there Erik!

The rear is very soft right now, and you can see the bike squat in the second picture. With the proper spring rate, I may not need to adjust the rear end height. The problem with moving things is, I can't move the exhaust any higher. The pegs I can make new mounts for and bring them even closer, but I will still drag the exhaust. Of course, I will start with the same eye to eye length and see if things work out with just the heavier spring.

I'm not steering you away from lifting the rear as most bikes for the track need it over the stock height.

When I get back I can help you get it to a good starting point. The way we did it last time was ALL way wrong.

Pete has showed me some cool "tricks of the trade" to set them up. I miss working there. this out of country stuff is putting a damper on things...lol

You may want to make sure your forks are set up correctly too, this can give the illusion of a soft rear if they extend to quickly.

Did ya order a Tripple clicker? That is my next Suspension toy. Good for low & high speed adjustability.

I just need to concentrate on my motor first though.......she is broke...

Oh yeah! Pete had a good chuckel about how my bike was set up when I finally did take it to him mid season. We ended up rebuilding my forks because I effed them all up.

I am getting the cheaper one, not the triple clicker.
