I think I'll leave the wheels. They match the frame (I think the color was called Titanium). I'm not sure how the black forks would look. Definately doing the dash, bars & trees. They'll match the black and carbon fiber bodywork.

If I do the forks, I'll have to get the wheels done also. If I do the wheels, I'd probably want to do the swingarm. I'm not sure I want to drop the coin on the "rat bike".

Gee. that's funny...I was going to suggest the frame as well. Figured if you had that much off the bike you might as well go all the way!

Prices from Classic Coating aren't too bad. The rims would be $75 each. The remaining total for forks, tree, dash & bars at around $150.

Bill....taking apart the front end is no bid deal. Removing the engine....fugetboutit:D

FYI: To all those with firearms that aren't locked up or have no locks on them. There presently is a national program called Project Childsafe. Many police departments are giving a way FREE cable locks for guns that work with pistols or long guns. The locks are not for resale<G>. Locks come in 2 sizes are plastic coated and have two keys each. Protect those you love. Muskego PD has some<G>.

AGAIN...They are FREE! There might be a limit of two per inquirer. Contact your local LEOs.

P.S......Spread the word.

If you want my firearm you'll either need a cutting torch or my permission.

Thanks for the heads-up though, sometimes these programs go unadvertised and underutilized. Milwaukee P.D. should take a case of the locks and just dump them on the ground near Center and 27th for parents to take advantage of. Might do some good, or might be used for bicycle locks instead.

Hmmm, how would the longer ones work for a motorcycle helmet lock?????

Mike, the longer ones make a good helmet lock. I have one that Ruger sent me free. I have a gun safe so i really have no need for the trigger locks.

my pieces are scattered aroudn the property to the point that it would take me about 40 minutes to gather the parts and assemble them . . . . .

With the exception of a National Crisis, probably the best reason for not owning any.

It was a great day for cruising the the country side. The leaves are mostly off the trees, but I like the quiet of weekday rides around East Troy, Eagle and the Southern Kettle Moraine area. Low spots are gathering leaves on some of the less traveled roads.

Man, you could not have said that any better. Love the solitude and the ability to ride how and where I want. Puts the freedom and exhilaration back into the sport.

Stayed in the 60's most of the day. Sun went away late morning but it was still a great day riding. Glad I went, weather forecast for the next five days looks real wet. Hope that is a typical weatherperson's idea of a joke!

Just another beautiful but chilly fall day to ride around the Kettle. Dang, I am having tons of fun cramming in as much riding as possible before winter sets in. Now that the leaves are down, not much traffic to contend with on weekends.
