I'll be back around Christmas for a couple weeks but I'll be off again until early Feb. 2009 and you can trust me when I say I'll be looking for a reason to ride for at least a few minutes while I'm home

I can already tell these Corsa 3's are not going to last. The sides are very soft. But they do grip great.

So far I have done two mods.

1. eliminated the solenoid, designed to reduce noise levels at certain throttle positions.

2. open air box. Not buying the idea that RAM air is working unless all you do is drag race (maybe). Seemed to run smoother today without the cover. (another EPA for noise levels thing)

What pressure are you running in them? I had mine LOW and it stuck like a goat on Viagra, but wore out the center fast. Higher seemed to make it last longer, but less grip.

Is the center going away, or is the edge balling up?

Center seems fine. I think my edge will go away first. But its still to early to tell. Only have about 750 miles for my first week.

I'll bet thy turn out fine. The sides are the same compound as the tires I have on, VERY soft and designed to shed rubber as they grip. Are you feeling any slide? Spinning the rear at all?

Means your making that new machine work!

Well i decided to tear in to the 1125R.

I removed the belt guards (actually did this last week)

Removed Reflectors form front forks.

Removed 1125R stickers from tail section. They were on kinda crummy.

Removed the tail extender and blinkers. Not sure what to do with the blinkers yet.

Removed exhaust and drilled into the third chamber to try to get some more noise to hide the valve train clatter. not sure if there was any change. I haven't taken it for a ride since. Man that muffler is pain in the ass to get back on.

you could use the top bolt holes for the license plate to mount some smaller turn signals?

I'm liking the look of no signals. I think I will keep it that way for a while.

Well I scared the crap out of myself today. Ran right through a freaking dead skunk laying in the middle of a corner. Half of its body was in the oil lane and the other half in the left tire track where I was.

I wasn't able to swerve to the left because of oncoming traffic and I did not have enough room and time to get all the way over to the right tire track. SO I ended up fishing tailing it through the remains.

Hack sawed off the the two 1" pipes cut into third chamber the best I could and with needle nose Vice grips rip out what I could reach. Then I welded one 3" pipe over the one larger opening I created.

Man I feel so out of touch this summer. Barely got any ride time in at all. Did get out last Sunday and decided I would try some ear plugs to see if it really made a difference and all I can say is you guys that use them are crazy! I found myself traveling an average of 10 mph faster than normal because I couldn't hear the bike as well or the wind noise to really gage my speed. It seriously scared me riding St. Helens which I have ridden dozens of times. Didn't even make it to Eagle Cliff and had to pull over and take them out. I can see how someone would easily get into a corner too hot using ear plugs as you don't get the full feeling of the actual speed you are traveling at. I enjoyed the quiet leading up to the twisties, but once in the fun part, forget it. Too dangerous. I suppose you could get used to it, but I don't think it's worth the risk.

Stopped in Cougar on the way back and noticed my right fork seal has a small leak. Haven't even passed the 5k mark! It's a pretty small leak, but still freaks me out being next to the brakes. Guess I'm going to have to either find some time to fix it, not likely, or get it to a dealer for some warranty work. Wonder how long that would take to get back. May be a chance to do a spring upgrade though.

Jim-
That's a bummer. I would turn it in for warranty work. Why mess with it while you still have the warranty coverage and can have it done for free.
