Pete, the NRA ride is postphoned for now, I'm thinking sometime in November this year. One of my riding buddies, NRA instructor, bagged out on me the other riding buddy will follow where ever I ride. Oh well, Now I'm looking at local ride one day this weekend. K

No sprinting, but...2 weeks on a walker, they moved me to crutches on Weds, and yesterday (Thurs) said I can navigate the house with either one or no crutches depending on my comfort level. I'm flat out amazed - never had a cast, been only six weeks since it happened, and here I am walking (well...hobbling) on my own again. YAY. It can only get bettter from here : )

Your progress is great news! Must be the young bones and plenty of milk. You've got some metal in there too.... Don't you?

Actually, the household goal is a new years ride, weather permitting....

And yes, I have the auto-barometer internal metal accessories - left femur replaced with a titanium rod, right tib/fib bolted back in, small plate and bolts in left hip. Not only will I be able to predict weather, but I'll be FUN at airports, LOL.

You should change your name to "BionicBuellBoy"

I was on the way over today when I got a sudden case of the "too tired to ride" and came back home instead. Haven't forgotten about you though.

Ferris_von_bueller and myself are getting together Sunday to do a little riding. All are welcome to join us. We're meeting at the Sunoco at Ball Park Rd & Rt 301 in Bowie, MD at 10am.

Ratbuell, glad to hear you're making progress. Keep it up, and you'll be back to good as new before you know it.

Looks like Saturday will be rained out, but let me throw a ride out there anyway.
I'll lead a ride from Fort Washington HD to Annapolis using mostly back roads, 80+ miles.
Kickstands up at 11am

Fellow Buellers,

Debra was killed Memorial Day weekend by a hit & run driver, who subsequently was captured is currently awaiting trail/sentencing. Deb is my co-worker's wife. A lady full of life and love both for her family (she leaves behind 5 kids!) and her husband's love of motorcycles. That weekend, she had just received her full Motorcycle's license.

Personally, I live in Springfield, VA. If there's enough interest, I'll organize an ad-hoc ride up to the event. Otherwise, I hope to see you guys there!

Thanks again for considering to support the Jordan family.

Ride SAFE! Sebastian

Hi Lars,
Yeah, I would have loved to ride today with you guys. Beautiful day after yesterday. Just taking care of business with the home life.
On another note, keep in mind the Buell Demo days at Baltimore next month on Oct. 4-5. I would like to suggest that all DC area, northern VA, Frederick and beyond areas, and Balt. area Buellers get together at Baltimore Buell on Sat. for the monthly meeting and to support the dealer. I am going to be there and test ride the new 09 Buells.
Brian

Ramon,

I should be getting a new stator Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully I'll have it all back together and the charging problem resolved. If so, count me in for a Saturday ride.

Brian, how is the 1125?

Did you get the guages fixed?

Comparison with the XB?

Any upgrades?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Hi Lars,
Lets see....questions,questions.....
My new 1125 is still not fixed. The instrument cluster is totally dead, no communication with the ECM. I did take it back to Ft. Washington HD/no longer Buell for diagnosis. Tech determined it needs a new ECM. They can't fix it though. I have to take it to another Buell dealer for repair. Funny though, I have about 100 miles on it and it runs good. It has been parked for about three weeks because I have been gone on work travel for most of August. Been riding the 12R some on the two weekends I was home in Aug. They sure are different bikes. I love the down-low torque of the 12r, but the riding position of the 1125R seems to be better for my older bones (knees). The 1125 obviously is not running quite right yet, and it is not close to being broke in, but once the revs are up some, it wants to fly. No upgrades yet, but I did order almost $675 worth of accessories last Sat. from Balt. Buell. Guess who works there (again) part time in parts.....Scot. He is most helpful in placing my order for stuff. Christmas comes early at my house. Thanks Buell! Thanks Scot! I am going to put the 1125 R in for service hopefully next week. If I can get the weather and my work to cooperate in giving me some free time!

I am so excited to be back, as some may know I returned to school full time for Mech Engineering. I'm part time in the parts department for now. I'm working on a couple things here to try and move the Buell brand a little closer to the front in the store, BUT, we'll see. My bike is sun fading fast, some may have noticed, but a Uly is in sight, anybody know a rich guy looking to write of 12k as a educational gift/grant/scholarship?
