What's up all.I see most of SCBR are in Charleston area.I'm located in the upstate but am on vacation at Myrtle Beach right now.Bad timing with Hannah coming Friday.Last weekend I was riding on BRP and this weekend I'm looking at a possible hurricane.Give me the mountains!Pm me if anyone wants to get up for a ride.

Jim- yea, I did. I'll PM him this morning and see if he knows anything. I'm considering taking my Uly up to near-DC week after next. I was thinking it might be good to get and pack a set of spare bearings.

Addendum- I PM'ed Crusty. I also posted a parts inquiry in the sponsors section for the parts princess at Stone Mountain. Maybe she can find out if the P/N was recently updated. Lastly, Cityxslicker took delivery of one of the new police Ulys yesterdays; I posted and asked if he could check the rear wheel bearings on that. Seems like the first place new bearings will show up is on the 09 bikes.

I haven't decided Matt. KTM still hasn't unveiled their new LC4 700 Adventure. Until then, I'm leaning towards either a black, highly farkled, low-mileage '07 F650GS thumper, or the '09 F650GS (800cc twin) if I can find one in red or silver without ABS. It might be a long wait on the twin. I wasn't too impressed with the V-Strom. It seemed just as big and heavy as the Uly. I keep having visons of me trying to pick-up a 500+ pound bike on some muddy, Alaskan road for the 50th time. The pic below is what happens when a 55-year-old leg tries to keep a 500+ pound motorcycle from tipping over.
