Third Sunday SLAB/HSTA Ride Date: Sunday, October 19, 2003 Time: 9:00AM - 5:00PM CDT (GMT-05:00) Meet at 9:00 a.m. ride begins at 10:00 a.m. Segregation? We don't need no Segregation!! The St. Louis Area Bueller's and the Honda Sport Touring Assoc. ride together! V-twins and I-4s, Thumpers and Triples. All are welcome. Join us at the QT in Eureka, Hwy 109 & I-44. If the wx holds this Sunday we'll go NORTH and have lunch at the Riverdock Restaurant in Hardin IL...Mmmmm, PORK CHOP!!!...Then we'll do the river road and several stops...This is a designated two up ride so bring the gals and we'll take it at an easy pace Keith...Hope you and the wee one can join us... Bob, I am going to try to make it. I am not going to make any promises though. Duck Season starts a week from Thursday and If we don't get our stuff ready on Saturday, Sunday is the only remaining day to do so. I hope we can make it. What type of route are you planning? Keith | ||

Thinking about doing something a little different this winter to the X1. What do you guys think. powdercoat the tailpiece but leave some sort of design polished on it.  Josh, You seem to be the resident powdercoat expert. think this will work? Keith | ||

I have a guy here that has done some stuff for me in the past. Was going to talk to him. thinking about blacking out the linkage/shifter etc. . . Also want to come up with something for the swingarm. Thought I'd do some sort of subtle emblems on the swingarm etc. Keith | ||

Sam...It's perfect...Forwarded to Court as he'll really appreciate it...Thanks from both of us and probably a bunch of others...I also copied it over to the hSTA site where it will get raves...A week ago Saturday evening we were all standing around, beers in hand, in front of the Friends of Freddies host motel in Farmington and there were about 20 scooters parked under the covered entrance way...Two were Honda's...Thus the little "h"STA...This was a lot easier to explain to others when I was on Das Boat or am on Pumpkin...Not so easy on the ST13...I think they kinda listen to me and go "sure"... DAve...He bought BOTH of them at Widman...You probably don't know it but he rode the first one off P (the one that runs up to MO 50) and it was a total...He's one of Widman's _best_ customers...The first one still had temporary plates... Well the Mother Ship and I went deer hunting last night out on I-44...Good damn thing I only had a doe tag...I saw her coming out of the median and swerved to the right and braked hard...When I knew I was going to hit her I twisted the throttle full open (something I had read to do in one of Ron Ayres books)...She struck the front left and went on down the left side taking out the saddle bag as her last injustice...The scooter went into a pretty violent wobble for a bit and then stabilized...Then I very gently applied both brakes and pulled over...The bike seemed ridable so I got off the interstate at the next exit and rode home, very slowly...Just put it on the wrecker back to Niehaus...
