There must be Buellers around Madison, Janesville, Beloit, etc. Let's hear from you. We have a ton of great roads just miles north or west and the kettle moraine is pretty good too. With Blackhawk Farms only minutes away, there must be someone out there! Chime in and let me know, maybe we can start organizing some rides. As the site name indicates, we should ride until the snow flies. BTW, all riders & brands are welcome as long as you don't mind fast, twisty backroads.

Dave...Really don't know about the Buell population out that way, but those of us that ride the area come from the surrounding clubs and are attempting to start a unified riding group in the S.E.W.E.R. thread. Check it out and add your comments.

Hopefully, at least the diehard riders from each of the clubs will participate in the rides and by drawing from all the area clubs we can get a decent number of participants.

Hey South Central...

Check out the S.E.W.E.R. thread in StormFronts.

We are starting to get some interest and have a tentative meeting/ride scheduled for next weekend.

Read the posts, and respond which day would be best for you. Then during the week, jot down your thoughts on the venture and bring them with you to the ride.

Oh yeah, and don't forget to bring a friend regardless of brand. All we ask is that they be good safe riders and be Buell Tolerant since even Buell admits we can't keep up in the straights. LMAO

I am happy to jump into the SEWER. However, it still requires a decent length ride just to arrive at a starting point. That is okay every now and then, but simply not as convenient as having 20+ people in the surrounding area.

It has been our experience that getting a decent sized group from any particular club for a sport ride is very difficult for many reasons.

That is why the purpose of SEWER is to get these sport riders a destination to ride to, enjoy the comradery of a good ride and then ride back home.

Considering the geographic dispersion of the clubs, a one to two hour ride to the destination with a meet'n'ride should take the good part of a day.

Figure leave home around 8:00 AM, meet at 10:00 AM, meet'n'ride till around 2:00 PM and then head home.

The destinations are selected for their proximity to fun roads to ride and in almost all cases, the commute to the destinations can be done on roads that are equally as much fun.

Just a concept, but should help give you some perspective on SEWER.

I live in Madison so I guess I'll post here.
Yes, there are Buell owners in the area. In fact the Sauk Prairie BRAG club was the first in the state! If my memory serves me right I think we formed in late 1999? We started off with a bang with over 30 members.(Sauk Prairie used to sell a LOT of Buells) Then we kinda fizzeled away. The main problem as I saw it was we could never agree on dates and destinations for rides.Even at our best we could only get 5-6 riders to show up on any given ride.
I think the Buell community is to small to have all these separate BRAG clubs. How about have some type of reginal or state clubs? If Wisconsin had 1 club and maybe 3 or 4 rallies a year I bet the turn out would be better than 10 clubs each having 4 people show up for their own seperate rides.
The reason I wrote this is I've been following Brew Cities activities in their posting area and if a Milwaukee Dealership can't generate interest in their Brag club I'd think it would be doubly hard if your out in the "sticks" like me

OK, it's a done deal!
Since Edge Performance Riding Courses is no longer doing track days I had to find a new track day organization to pimp for.
I am now working with Leon at Private Track Time.

Dates for this coming summer are as follows,
May 25th Blackhawk Farms

June 23rd Autobahn, Joliet IL http://www.autobahncountryclub.net/

July 2-3rd Blackhawk (this is for you that whine about them always being during the week!)

July 27th Blackhawk

Sept 8th Autobahn

Cost is $150.00 per day

You can check out details at www.privatetracktime.com

Please register thru me! I have committed to signing up at least 8 riders per track day so help me out.

Start making plans now!
Do not put this off until the last one of the summer, you will be bummed you can't do more.

If you have questions feel free to call or email me.

PS, Leon rides a Buell!

I talked to someone at the factory today and he informed me that there will be Buells racing at Road America on April 23rd and 24th!
The 23rd looks like a CCS day
The 24th will be Formula USA.
I don't know if I will be able to make it(depends on Kandie's schedule) but wanted to let everyone know about it.
Go cheer the Buells on!
