Those dudes were wicked fast... turns out that at least one of them was on the Lake City ride I did with CO group two years ago. I do like the safety wire idea - I may try to drill some holes tonight/tomorrow if nothing else seems promising - I still can't believe that both dealers don't keep the basics like these - aren't they supposed to be replaced anytime the exhaust comes off? I guess I wouldn't be worrying about it if I didn't need one. I'll stop whining and order an extra for next time... Will you be going to the Track day? I may go even if I can't get the bike in 'acceptable' condition and work corners or something... But, we always need more corner workers. Welcome to NM... Apparently that size/style of band clamp is used for other stuff and can be had at other local places like hose, ducting, and plumbing stores... That one minute spritz at Pojuaque didn't count. It was hotter than hell on the way home to Rio. I should have stopped to stretch at some point instead of making the marathon from Taos to Rio Rancho non-stop. My rain gear fits kinda tight over the leathers, so I always feel like I'm trussed up when I'm wearing both. Plus, my right boot started feeling really tight while my left felt fine. Anyway, I was really stiff for a while. He thinks he might possibly have a conflict (wifely event) but he's going to check because that might be on Saturday. Also, Mark Ching from my work is going to go. He went with us before on his BMW (with his son).
