I should be a good boy and tend to current projects tomorrow, but there is a meet at Southside HD, and the Man says he can show me the Blue, at 1pm.

I might have...

Tank, if you want an XT and a pleasant buying experience I might know of a place.

Though, If I weren't so faithful to my dealer(who has treated me more than fairly) I'd be looking for a bike out west. Fly and Ride is the way to go!

LizardLicker, all you'll need is one of them leather "body armor" gangsta vests and the german soldier helmet. For a 'Busa that's ATGATT. Oh yeah, an ostrich skinned seat is a must have! I'm liking this idea; c'mon playa get you that 'Busa!

Who's doing the Fly/Ride thing?

Jackie,
+1 on the ostrich seat, and you gotta cover the plastic in some sort of "fur"!

Charlie,
They are Pink Tongue Skinks from Australia. They don't get much over 17in.
Pretty commonly kept and bred in Europe but almost non existant here in the states. Then again almost everything is kept over in Europe where the wildlife laws allow EVERYTHING.
They have live young and huge litters with 67 being the record. Figure 3 females and 20 babies each and the new Busa' will be here in no time.

Fellas'
No bling, bling when I get it. I'm gonna keep it stock and just enjoy the natural coolness of the machine. Well, maybe some polished billet wheels but thats it.
I MAY get the purple mohawk thing for my helmet but am undecided as of yet. If I do get one then Nuts will have to outdo me and get an artificial mullet for his helmet LOL!

Who else put in 125 miles...

Who else laid down over 250 miles on a Low seat? And spent time at the dealer filling out paperwork for a bike that won't be seen until Tuesday?

Yes I did. Had to. Haven't had a bike calling to me like this since ol' yeller.
Had it transferred to Southside so I could buy it from a cool sales dude that rides with us, and he's having it sent back to the other dealer so I can pick it up closer to home. Is that a slap in the face or what!? F-em for a 6 hour wait on a 1k service.

Charlie,
I've hit a really weird time in my life.
I got my nose pierced 2 years ago and then 2 weeks ago got whats called a frontal helix. Basically they pierce the little rollover part of your ear closest to your head. Gonna get the other side done next month.
I've lost 35 pounds, been working out and got a tan under Dr. supervision which in turn brought me some unexpected female attention which got me in trouble with the wife.
I've kinda lost all interest in everything and feel like I'm in a kind of an emotional deadspot. I needed something to occupy my time hence the new and time consuming reptile project.

Tank,
Congrats on the new ride! So did you trade something in or do you now have 5 horses in the stable?

Jackie,
Two ways to look at life, what ya got or what you don't got.Usually concentrating on the last one tends to move things from first list to the second when you least expect it.

Charlie,
No bad vibes from here. You are the legend that I have not met, yet.

I am just on top of life, even with the recession. I just plunked down 13k for a bike that was calling to me from 25 miles away. Its intoxicating. I got to see it for the second time, today. I haven't even heard it run. I got it bad.

BUT, when I get this "bad", I always get a gem of a product, with no issues.

My 03 SL is my rock. My 96 Jeep Cherokee is my rock. Hoping that the 06 DR650 is a rock.

And I believe that my new 08 XT will be...
I had them run the vin, and no callbacks. It already has the updated computer maps...

For some reason, I get "Rocks".
I don't complain about the scratches on the bags, or the pipes, or whatever..

The bike called to me the first time I saw it. It's mine now.

Tank

What's For Dinner???
Roasted leg of Tank!

Damn, I forgot how hot these things get before break-in.

I really thought the Strada's were going suck bigtime....They don't.

I thought the leaf blower would never shut off. Ran for more than 5 min. Good thing the dealer put a lead on for the Battery Tender, free of charge.

I wanted to push all the bikes out for some pics, but I got the new baby in the garage just before the bottom fell out.
Ya'll will have to wait.

Did I mention that it gets FRIGGIN HOT!!

More to come, gotta make dinner.

Tank, the fan is gonna run for more like 10 mins when you shut'er down. The XT is a 12 motor and the 12's run hotter, especially with the "X" tailsection. Call Special OPS and get the heat blankets. After about 50 miles of constant riding I can feel the heat coming through the seat and the only cure is a mile of riding wile standing. You need to go over all the torx screws on the airbox cover with a torque wrench because they have a tendency to undertighten them in East Troy and they go walkabout.

So when are we departing for Harrisville? Thursday, Friday? I need to get in touch with M2c and Webe.

Tank,
So where you gonna take that thing for its first long distance tour? I bet you could run the Trans American Trail quite nicely with it. You and Nutbag need to start making some plans man.

Charlie,
So what did you think of the new Buell? Me personally I think it is grotesque but then again I am the guy who thinks the Busa is cool .

The last group of lizards arrived today and I am now broke just like Tank .

Trust me when I say that "grabbing bars" on the CR will be the biggest difference. It has Clubman bars?? But they should be easily changed to whatever bars you want.

The Blue Baby left it's mark in the garage. A nice 4" puddle of oil.

It was the oil pressure sensor on the bottom of the new oil pump housing. It was "finger tight". I fixed the leak, but I have oil blown all down the right side of the bike. Wiped most of it down, but will insist of a very thorough cleaning at the 1k service(in 2 weeks).

Nuts, I felt the heat on the right side, but the seat never got even warm. It's got the thingy that keeps the seat off the ecm as well.

"Final assembly required."
That's the phrase we use with some of the cabinets we sell.

It's got a "pop" off idle, just when I need "go juice" that worries me. I think that will work out with break-in.

31 miles...

What is that? Part of the nest, to make them feel "comfy" while UPS has their way?

Charlie,
I like the white/blue too.

I caught everybody looking at the bike on the way home yesterday. Not sure if they were looking at the bike, or the short mofo trying to keep it upright?
