The weather turned out great. 42 when we left Waterloo, stopped in Dubuque and picked up Easyflier and Gearloose and then on to Pine Bluff. Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center)   Bomber Posted on Monday, October 06, 2003 - 01:02 pm:        Dave . . .nossir, I didn't make it . . . . it did, however, find out an interesting fact about my extended family . . . .. they waiting to plan a family gathering for my wife's birthday (which was on saturday), until they saw the weather for the crud run was supposed to be crappy . . .they then scheduled the family shindig for sunday . . .. so, I missed some good riding, but found out my family is scheduling things around seat time for me! not wonder I love em all so much! also, got a lot of work done on the shed in the back yard, which will clear out the garage for scooters and scooter stuff and the model A . . . . yippee!   Daves Posted on Monday, October 06, 2003 - 01:53 pm:        My family must love me too. My Mom's birthday is the 30th of Oct. The closest weekend for us to get together is usually the opening weekend of pheasant season. My Mom celebrates her birthday 2 weeks early so it doesn't interfere with my hunting! Ride to the edge! I was out by Alpine valley and came upon a road like you were talking about. I think it was Hargrave Rd., just east of hwy. 120, south of Hwy D. What a Blast I don't think if was the same one you experienced. Although it was in the same valley. I don't really have anywhere specific in mind, I just know that this is probably our last stretch of nice weather..Not to mention the fact that I simply Do Not get out riding anywhere near as much as I would like.....HEY, is our horse-lady friend, in???
