Can I just admit to not being overly excited about the bitter weather that we are and will be experiencing here. Honestly, I'm kinda iffy about the SCR just because I know how I freeze when it's below 50...Does anyone else share my sentiments???? Would anybody else like to just get together and do something where it's warm??? My sweety, Jay, might go because he is such a toughy, but frankly, I am just a wuss. I love to ride, but not when it's that cold......(hope I'm not alone on this one  ) | ||

Heather..you are perfectly correct in your feelings. The cold weather sux. Its one thing to go for a short ride around town, but a 150-200+ mile rd trip in the cold is miserable. | ||

Would anybody else like to just get together and do something where it's warm??? I might could be persuaded to go shopping and do lunch, a girl's next favorite activities after motorcycle riding !!! I'd even ride my XB9S to the Mall !!! LOL Seriously, in that kind of weather I still wouldn't mind riding closer to home, but that is a long way in the freaking cold !! Mrs Uwgriz and CJ got the idea, go somewhere warm. The whole group should come over here where its warm. WE GOT MALLS TOO. If you leave now - today you can be here by Sunday Morning, stay for a few days then go back. If its too cold to ride back then I have a large garage for storage and you all can fly back next spring and pick them up. That would give me an excuse to ride back with you for a vacation. You might get lost on the way back and need my direction. (lately my direction is not all that directional-sort of like the blind leading the blind) Just a thought as its suppose to stay in the mid 60s to low 70s right up to next week. I just parked the car, top down of course, and the exterior temp gauge is reading 24 celsius/78 fahrenheit = taking the afternoon off early and going riding. edited by Newfie_Buell on October 02, 2003 | ||

If I hear about warm riding weather one more time, while my poor XB9S is parked in the cold, chilly garage as I leave it every morning, I'm just going to Jason, don't worry about us shopping, heck we won't spend any money, we'll just "Charge It" !! Well CJ, Looks like the weather Gods are un-cooperative with me too. So now you don't have to pound me!!!But you know how I feel about gettin an ass kicking from a gal  - I may actually enjoy it - hehehe Started raining about 10 minutes ago  So instead of having a choice of either  or  I am now stuck with this instead !!!!!!  Oh well Still better than being minus 200 like you guys got today though | ||

I could do without a worse cold than I have now. I'm up for doing something where it's warm. Down south maybe!  Or just a short, closer ride around here. Gee your right Jason, LOOK WHAT I STARTED THE CHICKS GOING TO THE MALL. I feel your pain buddy!!!! All you GALS, Your better off coming up this way this weekend to go shopping, I can set each of you with a Suzuki 250cc Marauder - They are our training bikes and training season is over. Now that would be cute a bunch of damm fine looking Wisconsin Gals letting loose in St. John's for the weekend!!!!!Don't forget your American Dollar goes a lot farther up here in Canada!!! The long range weather is as follows: St. John's, NL Weather Looks like mild weather 60-70ish with chance of rain on Sunday. If the weather does not co-operate for the bikes then you guys can have my car for the weekend and drive around with your tops down - errrr I meant the cars top down. Nancy, I am always pushing the envelope and someday its gonna get closed on me, BUT, if you can't have fun then whats the good of ya. We are only here for a short time, not a long time so make the best of the time you have. To be honest I can't wait for the Michigan Boys and others to come here next summer and I ride back to Wisconsin with the crew. For the record the rain held off this afternoon and I drove the car around in the 75degree heat this afternoon - overcast sky but warm. edited by Newfie_Buell on October 02, 2003 | ||

Note: if it is too cold and everyone backs out It has been my observation over the years that for any given ride no matter the weather, 1/2 of the people who say they are going to definately 100% positively be there....dont show. |
